Nemesis- A trending show with an all-black cast that Tyler Perry had nothing to do with. Whoever made Nemesis should ink a first look deal with the streamer, so they can ditch their reliance upon the perry Ferry of Shit he keeps accosting us with. Nemesis is great, but Vito is a weird choice for narrator. The writing isn’t terrible, but it feels like maybe we should have tried to think about responsible casting choice here.
For All Mankind- Now we’re trying to land on Titan? The audacity! Also, since Earth isn’t sending food to Mars, I think they’re all forgetting that even if they do end the hostage situation, it takes a hot minute for a ship to reach them. AD was really good though.
Paradise- At least one major character died in the finale, and everyone needs a new home now in Exodus, as Xavier now needs to lead his people like Post-Apocalyptic Moses. A lot could happen in the third season, with what Xavier is told. Will he retain at least his family, and work apart from Dylan? Or will this caravan or courage move together? The AD here was again, great. The stuff at the end with Sam was done nicely, as were all the tense moments where it looked like someone might die.
Top Chef- She-Ra is back to narrate Top Chef, which I’m happy has AD, and is impossible to truly knock out of the park, as it is hard to take the time to make our mouths water at each dish. But at least I know the chefs, and sometimes who is talking.
Sheriff Country- The Fire Country crossover when a bus full of teens is taken hostage, and we don’t know the result unless you watch Fire Country also. Perfectly fine audio description yet again from Media Access Group.
Last Week Tonight- John Oliver breaks down what happened to New College Of Florida, and what it is like now after all the bravado.
