House Of The Dragon- The Dragon That Had Yet To Be defends The Queen That Never Was, to the chagrin of the Prince Who Will Never Be, and all because The Spare Who Shouldn’t Be and The Queen Who Is are fighting over the Land That Shall Become. Widows Bay- Tom ends up high at an inopportune time, but also hopefully to learn about the mysteries of the island before they all die. This series is popping off for Apple. Renewed for a second season, and headed for the Emmys.
Berlin- Episode 2 was less exciting than 1, as the planning starts to take hold, and the AD is still TTS. I can only be just so excited. It’s fine. If we watch more international shows, they will describe more, and once the demand is proven, hopefully we can have a conversation on quality.
Mia- This AD track sounds awful. I’m not hating the show, with this episode finally starting to hit its stride, but the AD sounds worse than most tracks I’ve heard in the last calendar year. I’ve easily seen over 100 different programs in the last 12 months, and without exaggerating, this is in the bottom 5. For sure.
Last Week Tonight- John Oliver talks about the Scottish stealing our beer, and mostly feral pigs, which I knew were a problem, but not at the rate they are becoming. The greatest threat isn’t at the border, its that these wild hogs have no natural predators, are incredibly aggressive and destructive, kill people, are over six million and rapidly growing do to the birth rate being far higher than their death rate or rate of being hunted. It’s so insane, people hunt them from helicopters. I learned a lot on a 100% apolitical issue. The pigs are coming for you, regardless of how you vote.
Dutton Ranch- I’m bore. Someone wake me up when Beth stops taking ambien. Beth Dutton kicks ass, she doesn’t kiss it. This is character assassination, and I’m really starting to hate it.
