TV Shows Watched: The Witness: Full Series (Netflix) with audio description, Tracker: S3E18 (Paramount) with audio description, The Miniature Wife: S1E9 (Peacock) with audio description, and The Rookie: S8E9 (Disney Plus) with audio description

The Witness- Three episodes of this true crime limited series based on the memoir Letting Go by the grown up version of the little kid who is left as the only witness to his mother’s brutal murder, when he was three. We’ve seen Hollywood play with little kids as lone witnesses before, and even if they all spun from this true story, they do it better. I plan to review. The AD is fine. I actually laughed, because the AD explained who ALF was, as young Alex is playing with an ALF toy (it was 1992), and the audio description identifies ALF as an alien life form, which is what ALF stands for.

Tracker- Reliable audio description again, but dull plot this time. Tracker could use shorter seasons, or more linear storytelling. The best part was Colter calling his brother at the end, even if his brother doesn’t pick up.

The Miniature Wife- Basically a flashback episode showing how our two leads came together in the first place. She-RA is doing the audio description still, and it is pretty average.

The Rookie- Another track that was just pretty average. Not sure if the narrator is human, but neither am I with The Miniature Wife. Why did Baily move to DC if she’s just gonna fly back as needed?

Best/Worst- I didn’t see that much, and nothing was extraordinary, or awful. These are all decent tracks, with maybe Tracker rising to the top, and Miniature Wife at the bottom, but the gaps aren’t very wide today.
