The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/16/23

Well, NBC has opted to not renew American Auto after all. Looks like a solid victim of the writers strike, as they needed to either extend contracts at the end of the month, or cancel. However, MAX is sticking with Velma. 15) The Adventures Of The Gummi Bears (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended Consistently ranking low, this nostalgic trip hasn’t quite worked out. This was the 7th episode, and I’m trying to get at least 10 in so i have that fully revived memory. This one was mostly about adopting an abandoned wolf cub. Episode Grade: C … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/16/23

First, shoutout to Alex Newell who became the second alumni of The Glee Project to win a Tony Award. Who’s next? Also, as this is June 12th, i must start off todays roundup by dedicating this in the memory of the 49 lives lost while dancing at the Pulse nightclub in my city. #OnePulse 11) City On fire (Apple plus) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Not Yet Renewed I really just didn’t think this was a good pilot. in terms of structure, and getting the audience invested in the characters and story, i don’t think it achieved any of that. … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/11/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/08/23

Well, talk about yesterday being a slow news day. Like, nothing major or earth shattering happened. It was just a regular day. If I pulled some news out, just a sliver of news, I guess I could say that I realized the second season of Swagger drops at the end of the month. 10) Dave (FX/Hulu) English Audio Description?: Yes Honestly, i feel like after that music video episode, Dave hasn’t been able to quite hit that level of perfection in the subsequent two episodes. That episode was something else. Episode 4 was just boring. Episode Grade: C 9) Young … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/08/23

I’m not sure there’s a ton of TV news, aside from the fact that the DGA signed a new contract, leaving the WGA and SAG as being the two still left. But, I did watch a ton of pilot episodes yesterday. 16) Clone high (MAX) English Audio Description?: No Status: Revived Still trying to get through the original Clone High. I think I finally am hearing Will forte’s voice. This episode dealt with getting a diagnoses of ADD. Maybe this would be funnier with audio description. Episode Grade: B- 15) 8 Simple Rules (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/04/23

The Replacements (16 People Who Almost Snagged Iconic Roles)

Just caught this article (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/24/ryan-gosling-hugh-jackman-drive_n_3328690.html?icid=maing-grid7|maing7|dl13|sec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D318270)  and felt like relaying that info here. Did you know that… Jim Carrey was originally considered for Pirates of the Caribbean, but it would have conflicted with Bruce Almighty. Hugh Jackman was originally supposed to be the Driver in Drive. Everyone knows Ryan Gosling has a bromance with the director. Jackman was only originally considered when Neil Marshall was tapped to direct the film. Sean Connery was originally offered the part of Gandalf in Lord Of The Rings.
