Well, Netflix decided today was the day for us to watch some Stranger Things. Capping off the week with some nice shows, and some not so nice. 1) The Boys (Amazon) English Audio Description Available?: Yes In the 6th episode of the season, our main characters started to make bold choices. The Deep’s bold choice was to have sex with an octopus. But, A Train finally understood what it felt like to be on the receiving end of superhero nonsense that goes unchecked. I definitely watched too much TV on a rainy Saturday. 1) Gaslit (Starz) English Audio Description Available?: No I hate to put. Shows that don’t have audio description on top, but there was no denying the penultimate hour of Gaslit, which should serve as a For Your Consideration reel for the series two leads, Julia Roberts and Sean Penn, whose marriage finally comes to a screeching halt as secrets are revealed, and things are said that can’t be unsaid. Time to make the donuts. 1) Ozark (Netflix) English Audio Description Available?: Yes In the 9th episode of the final season, Ruth is still giving zero fucks. She does manage to put herself together to attend the funeral with Three. Meanwhile, Grandpa is in town, and he’s looking for Ben. This was a great episode full of little moments and exchanges that truly created something special. Yesterday was a big day for TV shows. I only had one final Star Wars film to knock off the list, so i could finally dive into the long waited Obi Wan kenobi and Stranger Things debuts. Yesterday, I watched quite a bit of non-described programming with my mom, who tries her best to let me know what’s happening. But, there’s a very small overlap in the Venn Diagram of shows we both enjoy. I did squeez in a movie in and around all of these TV shows. On a side note, yesterday was a brutal red wedding for TV shows (and decisions still need to be made by ABC and fOX). CBS has said goodbye to Magnum PI, The United States Of Al, Be Positive, How We Roll, and Good Sam. (If I could save one of those five, it would be The United States of Al, though CBS is cutting back on comedies altogether, ordering no new sitcoms, and returning next year with just the four returnees).
