And in the continuing saga of the paramount Purge, Paramount’s decision to murder inside Amy Schumer in cold blood has caused Comedy Central to scrap plans to have a cable run of the 5th season of the show. Well, in a shocking turn of events, HBO is in talks to license some of its original content to Netflix. i have to believe that these are the lower tier titles. It’s actually not that weird. True Blood is on Hulu. So, if Netflix starts running Boardwalk Empire, Carnivale, or Six Feet under anytime soon, you’ll know why. CBS already is talking about not being worried about next season as they have Paramount Plus shows to rely on. Meanwhile, since today is Wednesday, in the middle of June, I feel the need to point out that this is when ABC has decided to drop the second season of The Wonder Years. Clearly, it’s a burn off. With the writer’s strike, any sensible person would have accepted this moving to at least a late summer (August) launch so it could bleed into the beginning of the fall season and give ABC some fresh content. Well, HBo cancelled Perry Mason after two seasons.What a shame. Honestly, they were trying to elevate it, but Perry Mason would be a lot better off as just a regular procedural on CBS. 12) Family Matters (MAX) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Ended That opening urkel joke was a groaner. I was a little busier than usual yesterday. But, I still tried to squeeze in the shows. Today is MAX day! Except… it’s not here just yet. I checked my apps, and HBO MAX still works. Basically, at some point today, you will be prompted to get the new MAX app. There are a few pieces of tech that support HBo MAX right now and use a screen reader that won’t work with MAX, like PS4. PS5 however will. There’s a new tier, and according to the press release, this 20 dollar a month tier is where the 4K lives as well as 4 streams. American idol crowned a winner last night. I’m watching it today.
