It looks like also that the show Good Trouble has come to an end. I saw some cast reactions. And, Golden Globe nominations are announced tomorrow morning I do believe. Had no idea this was happening, but apparently Baz Luhrmann recut his film Australia and released it on Hulu as a six part limited series. What an interesting concept. I wish I could toss out this list and fill it with all of the amazing performances of Matthew Perry that I managed to watch yesterday. Perry was such a tremendous talent, who landed too many one-and-done shows that truly deserved a second season. Best Buy announced they will no longer be selling physical media after this holiday season. That breaks my heart. I have a massive physical media collection of DVD’s and BluRay’s, and before losing my vision, I used to love to hit up Best Buy on Black Friday, run in and grab a ton of new entries to my collection for cheap. The studios claim they have made their best and final offer to the WGA,. After four days of negotiations, the two are scheduled to meet again today. I do believe this has to be ratified by the membership, so if there aren’t major concessions made by the studios it won’t pass. I’m getting a little tired of renewals not meaning anything anymore. Peacock has reversed its decision on a second season of Bumper In Berlin. Why even bother with renewals? Why lie to fans if your plan is to just piss them off later on by yanking the show away? The strike has been going on for a lot longer than the studios thought they would. That’s for sure. I haven’t seen another movie abandon ship from 2023 yet. While not TV news, I am always looking around the inter webz for Oscar thoughts, and I do love the people predicting the Oscars who acknowledge that it’s weird that everyone is predicting the same things. I kinda mentioned how the season finale of Doogie Kamaloha felt like a series finale with her not choosing either of the guys, and instead choosing herself. Disney Plus has cancelled the show. I think we all knew they would. It’s a shame, because they have such a hard time launching a new series that isn’t Marvel or Star Wars.
