Well, FOX is still holding out on some decisions but announced a writer’s proof schedule full of reality TV. They even revived Kitchen Nightmares. I believe ABC is the only network that hasn’t done an upfront yet, possibly also The CW. Well, fans of SWAT have had a very confusing past couple of days. After cancelling the hit drama on Friday, and seeing a torrent of backlash for cancelling a show that has risen in ratings every season, CBS has reversed its decision and given SWATT a 7th season renewal. That renewal comes at the expense of Freshman drama East New York, which was looking good for renewal and instead got the boot. The Too Much TV Roundup- 05/07/23

A couple more interesting WGA Strike tidbits. The Rings Of Power was told to continue filming without it’s showrunners (who are WGA members, and on strike). So if you were concerned about the quality last season, this could either be a good or bad thing. Probably bad though. And Evil, which was finishing filming on its fourth season, ended up wrapping filming early because the strike was too disruptive. I don’t know how you end early in a positive way.
