Folie Aux Deux! There are so many great sequel titles that can be co-opted so you don’t have to simply go the boring old number two route. There’s The old Guard: Electric Boogaloo, or The Old Guard: Guard Harder, and 2 Old 2 Guard. Oh, Canada- Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, Jacob Elordi, Paul Schrader Quick Take: Another screener without audio description. Paul Schrader, whose last film I also did not have audio description for (Master Gardener) is back with Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, and Jacob Elordi for a Wes Anderson adjacent look at a man who was a draft dodger. There’s some quirky quality in interviewing the man as an older man (Gere), and seeing him in flashbacks as his younger self (Elordi). I don’t know how I missed the drama, but Starz apparently cancelled Heels, and almost immediately removed the show from its service. A tentative deal has been reached between the studios and the writers. The details have yet to be made public, but should be shortly as the membership has to vote on it. An official vote by leadership happens on Tuesday, which will solidify this a bit more, and possibly allow some writers to return to work.
