I Finally Gave My 10th F Grade Today

Here’s the thing. I don’t like giving F grades to films. For me, when I give an F grade, it means the films is absolute shit. Completely unwatchable. Like, by no means should anyone ever watch this film. I’ve given a ton of D-, D, and D+ grades to some absolutely awful films. But in each film, I usually find something positive to say. But today, I found the 10th film that I couldn’t say anything nice about. It was a complete waste of film, and everyone’s time involved. It offended me as a moviegoer, and I felt in my core that it should never be watched by anyone… ever.

That film was Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. I’ve reviewed 640 films, and I’ve only given 10 F grades.

The Unlucky 10:
300: Rise Of The Empire
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul
The Forger (with Josh Hutcherson, not John Travolta)
Gods Of Egypt
Hit and Run
Ice Age: Collision Course
Left Behind
Only God Forgives
Paul Blart 2

It was such a monumental occasion, I felt it needed it’s own post. I’m generally a nice critic, for the most part. I hated those ten films with every fiber of my being. I know, someone probably liked the 300 sequel. Or the Ice Age film. Or some artsy fart actually made it through Only God Forgives. But, for me, those 10 are terrible films. Thankfully, critics have agreed with me. Not a single film on that list has a positive Rotten Tomatoes score.

Hit and Run- 50%
300: Rise Of An Empire- 43%
Only God Forgives- 41%
Skiptrace- 36%
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 4- 20%
Gods Of Egypt- 15%
Ice Age: Collision Course-15%
Paul Blart 2- 5%
Left Behind- 2%
The Forger (Tomatometer Not Available)

I know this is a completely random list to you, but if you want to know what I think is total shit. These 10 films are a very odd barometer of what I’ve found to be “unwatchable” films over the five years I’ve been reviewing movies. Proceed with caution, and please don’t see the new Wimpy Kid film.
