Well, not as much as I had hoped. Almost finished a 5th show, and one of these was a two hour episode, so it’s not as bad as it seems.

4) Shadow and Bone (Netflix)

I’ve totally lost what the other side characters not currently with Elena are actually supposed to be doing, like Cass. But, in Elene’a world, I think Episode 4 is a bit early for her to already be facing off against Ben Barnes again. I mean, maybe they have something bigger up their sleeve, but this season has confused and somewhat bored me.

3) American Idol (ABC/Hulu)

It’s a solid night. Honestly, ten singers from that list will survive, and i really only have like five must-keeps, two or three “wouldn’t mind seeing them again”, and the rest were OK but forgettable. I gotta say, my least favorite contestant going into the top 26 wasn’t the weakest performance last night. However, contestants that traditionally focus on the performance over the vocal end up not winning Idol. Adam Lambert could do both, and even he only came in second. You must have a good voice.

Episode Grade: B+

2) Bel Air (Peacock)

The only reason Bel Air is at number two right now is because the number one show is absolutely fucking insane. Bel Air was great again this week, actually doing a rather solid job of making sure every main character popped up in a rather expansive episode. I’ve enjoyed this season, even if Ashley’s participation is low. She made a big impact in Season 1 by questioning her sexuality, and in season 2, her biggest importance thus far was being the catalyst that inspired the Blackout. now she’s just sitting around the house reading books about blackness. That’s not character development since that’s what she’s been doing all season.

1) The Consultant (Amazon)

Like, I need to know what this guy is. Is he the devil? Where is this series headed? Watching Regis get the upper hand almost entirely in this episode really makes me believe he’s about to win this thing super hard, and that won’t be good for our favorite coder.
