I have no idea if there was substantial television news yesterday. I do however know that I saved a ton of money on my car insurance by switching to GEICO. That lizard has been alive way too long for them to not know what they’re doing over there.
5) 911 Lone Star (FOX/hulu)
English Audio Description?: no
Everything is pretty straight up fire that I watched yesterday. This one is the weakest of the five, only because the payoff doesn’t exist. in the same episode, we learn that Cap’s new girlfriend is in an open marriage, we meet the interesting and entitled brat, and then he seems to put himself into some kind of creo freeze that kills him, making his wife… Cap’s girlfriend, who we also barely know, the prime suspect. This all would have landed better if we were more invested in the girl, and if the husband had been introduced in a prior episode. Other story arcs this season had more drawn out runs. Also, no audio description, and a mystery is afoot. So i really needed that to make sure I wasn’t missing any clues.
Episode Grade: B+
4) School Spirits (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I think when everything is this close, I put this in 4th because of what I sniff as a potential way for them to take this series. The episode plays fine, until one of the ghosts finally sits down at the end of the episode and tells their therapy leader that whatever he did to get Janet out of there, she wants in. Presumably, she wants to move on. But there’s a little part of me that wonders if they don’t go the supernatural route here, and we find that Maddie was killed by a ghost. If that’s true, that’s so stupid. So, while the rest of the episode is fire, and this may not end up going there, it was left as a cliffhanger for a reason. What exactly do you need to do to get out?

3) Will Trent (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Thanks to weeks off the air, I’m now fully caught up. Angie takes the center stage this week, as her desire to get rid of Lenny gets stronger and stronger. Will is made to go undercover to uncover Macon’s biggest drug kingpin. Man, I travelled through Macon many years ago, and I never thought :This is the kind of city that has a notorious drug kingpin running an operation”. But the episode was fine.

2) Ted Lasso (Apple plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Reasons why Ted goes home this season. 1) He continues to typically be isolated from everyone. His calls and texts to Rebecca went unanswered. He went to an American themed restaurant in Amsterdam. He solved his problems by watching American sports, namely Michael Jordan. They’re pushing a pretty solid narrative for Ted to finish this season, and this show, back in Kansas. We’ve never seen his kid or ex-wife as much. Now she’s got a new boyfriend, and Ted is just at friends with benefits level. his kid is a bully now. And they’ve gone out of their way to film a ton of Ted scenes by himself.Isolated and alone, this dude is gonna end up in Kansas. Mark my words.
Episode Grade: A
1) The Mandalorian (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
All the press the Mandalorian team were doing ahead of the finale seemed to suggest it would divide fans because some big emotional death was coming. That never really happened. I mean, someone dies, but if you got emotional about it… I’m concerned for you. Like, as a person. This episode built to a final battle between Mando, Bo, Groku and Moth Gideon, and it was epic as shit, This season wasn’t perfect, but this season finale was, and really tied everything together nicely. I’m so excited to see what the next chapter in this saga holds.
