RIP len Goodman. You did yor job as a cranky British reality judge really well for many years.
10) Gotham Knights (The CW)
English Audio Description?: No
I finally got around to checking out this very CW version of a comic book show. This one follows Batman being killed, and his adopted son has no idea Bruce was Batman. But, there’s Robin, and this kid has friends who feel like they fell out of Riverdale, and that kind of self aware dialogue that reflects how no one actually speaks. I thought this was a dumpster fire. It’s been a minute since I’ve liked anything The CW has done.
Episode Grade: D
9) The Rookie Feds (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Suddenly, that coroner chick has an interesting backgroun and the team is investigating a death row inmate who is somehow inspiring copycat killers. This episode wasn’t terrible, until the end, when the two lovers sneak off and skip pie with their parents (who are also lovers), so they can have sex. Both of their parents are right there asking them to join them for pie, but for a good laugh, the writers (who believe they need more money in this strike) thought it’d be cuter if they ran to the bedroom. Almost no one would have made this choice in real life. This show still hasn’t been picked up, and I’m kinda hoping it isn’t.

8) The Equalizer (CBS/Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Aunt Vi is an art teacher? What happened to a few episodes back where she was going to save that restaurant by recreating the old dishes? What is her actual job? While technically the bad guy, or one of them, had been featured, this was still one of those episodes that is hard to guess who is responsible because that person ultimately isn’t introduced until the last second.
Episode Grade: B
7) Class Of 07 (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
This Aussie import features a reality show reject returning home for her High School class reunion, only for there to be something happening with the world, and it’s hard to grade this honestly with as little information as we are given. It’s got Yellowjackets vibes but mixed with LaBrea.
Episode Grade: B
6) Extrapolations (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
This really tries to do a lot. I know it’s an anthology style limited series, but I’m not sure if every episode is focused on just climate action or the future in general. The acting was fine, it just tries to converge too many plots in one episode. The audio description here was probably the best of the day though.
Episode Grade: B+
5) Anamaniacs (hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
The Warners get two sketches, Pinky and the Brain resolve their cliffhanger, and a Dolphin and a Dog love killing people.
Episode Grade: A-
4) Boy Meets World (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: no
I wanted to watch a classic from the past that I loved, so i figured, why not Boy Meets World? God, when I was growing up this show was everything to me. Mr. Feeny passed on the best knowledge. Rewatching the pilot was certainly a blast from the past.
Episode Grade: A-
3) Up Here (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I didn’t immediately fall in love the way i did with Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist or Schmigadoon, but this was really cute and fun. I think it could be something.
Episode Grade: A-
2) Last Week Tonight (HBo MAX)
English Audio Description?: no
Focusing two little segments, one on abortion (really, the abortion drug that has been in the news) and why it is needed, as well as a segment on farming, and how Americans don’t want to pick crops, so without migrant workers, farms are failing.

1) The Rookie (ABC/hulu)

Tim’s ex comes back when she needs help with an old friend from her undercover days. Angela is also super pregnant. And Bailey has the worlds most annoying friend. And if The Rookie Feds doesn’t work out, Skip Tracer Randy is a viable second spinoff.
