Task- What to do with Sam? That’s the big question driving the second episode of Task. This remains an ensemble piece, despite the presence of Mark Ruffalo in the lead role, and is slowly building out this crime drama. we learn more about the thieves from the last episode, as well as the “community” they stole from. Solid audio description so far.
Platonic- I wonder how this other Seth Rogen Apple Plus series is looking now that he’s focused on the Emmy winning The studio. Will he do a third season of this? this season isn’t quite over yet, but some big decisions were made this week.
the Runarounds- We learn more about the individual lives and families of the band, as they find a new rehearsal space, and get another gig playing a wedding. There’s some truly awful writing here, when Charlie’s parents are in bed and are forced to give unnecessary exposition and talk for the audience, and not authentically for themselves, but otherwise, I enjoyed it. Perfectly fine audio description.
Twisted Metal- Imagine I discussed the AD, and beat a dead horse. OK. I liked the episode, which put the remaining drivers against some assassins, but it didn’t take a lot of risks. I think we only lost one driver. So heading into the next challenge, they say every man for themselves, so does that split up the duos? And again, if this show is planning on a third season, there’s no way that happens without Sweet tooth, and he obviously isn’t winning.
Ginny and Georgia- The drama continues to build. Georgia is still a really tough lead to like. I can connect with Austin, who is having feelings about his best friend Zack not being able to talk to him anymore, and also Austin knows his mom killed Zack’s dad. So, their relationship will never be the same. Georgia is watching as people who are not her step in to help Ginny, and jail is still a possibility. Honestly, I am curious to see how she gets out of this one. I’m with Ginny, as I’m not even sure I want her to. Oh, and one of the main girls starts to get a little curious about her sexuality.
