I actually did watch other shows. I watched Alien Earth in the morning. I also watched The Great North on Hulu. I always watch jeopardy at night, I just don’t put it in the diary, kind of not like putting the News here either. I did not watch jeopardy last night either, as it airs on an ABC affiliate. Yesterday, Disney made the decision to “indefinitely” pull jimmy Kimmel from their lineup, and I have “indefinitely” pulled my coverage of their content. I do not plan on negatively reviewing things, as it isn’t Noah hauley’s fault and the cast of Alien earth, or the debut of High Potential, or the cast of Only Murders. None of these people are creating bad content. They are just creating content on state run media now. Free speech is free speech. If you don’t like it, change the channel. I didn’t listen to Charlie Kirk, because I had the choice not to. Disney also had the choice to pull Jimmy from ABC, but still shoot the show, and air it on Disney Plus/Hulu, allowing Jimmy to address the controversy in a form that would have appeased affiliates. Nope. they went scorched earth. it isn’t even a temporary suspension. they didn’t just pull him for the remainder of the week. They decided to, without much deliberation, burn Jimmy. There’s something very disturbing coming from politics, and how the White House is pushing its policy into private institutions and corporations, coming out of a group that for so long bitched about the existence of cancel culture. I guess the dislike of cancel culture depends on who is on top. I’ve heard a lot of defense of Free Speech in the wake of Kirk, and where are those people now? So, my list is short today. And I guess I’m not watching Jeopardy anymore.
First they came…
Gen V- If you are trying to only watch gen V, that’s going to be really hard, as the series directly references stuff that happened in the last season finale of the boys. Starlight also cameos, and they send off Chance perdomo’s character off screen, in an incident that happened between seasons. The episode also began with “for chance”. A new head of the school, cypher, has welcomed back Emma and Jordan (Kate and Sam are already back at school), and is supposedly looking to get Murray back as well. She’s off fighting the good fight, and gets a visit from starlight. One of the main characters is injured, but if you stay for the “this season on gen v” that immediately proceeds the episode, their actual fate is revealed. much like what i said about The runarounds, which showed way too much, gen V’s promo does the same.
Mindhunter- there’s a really chilling scene, where one of our leads (who is tracking the BTK killer) comes home after interviewing a victim that survived, and finds his back door open. It ends up being nothing, but you can tell he’s on edge. Love this show.
Sausage Party- Frank and Barry are trying to save Foodtopia from being fed to the humans. Jack realizes Frank was never going to integrate him, and ends up siding with the others, so the hot dogs are left to their own on this. Can they save Foodtopia? Should they? Honestly, No. Frank, they tried to kill you. It wasn’t until Barry negotiated exile that it happened, because they were going to kill Frank and Jack. Frank saving them makes no sense.
