The Small Screen Diaries: 09/22/25

TV Shows Watched: Gen V: S2E3 (Amazon) with audio description, Task: S1E3 (HBO MAX) with audio description, Ginny and Georgia: S3E4 (Netflix) with audio description, and Twisted Metal: S2E9 (Peacock) with audio description

Gen V- Since I know narrators don’t always get to see what they are describing, I find it funny thinking about a narrator just sitting in their recording studio, preparing to read a line, and they see that they have to describe a head coming out of a butt. Thanks to shows like Gen V and The Boys, we’re breaking new grounds constantly on “how do we describe THAT?” But, yes, great work.

Task- the Mark Ruffalo led crime drama continues to build out with his crew bursting into a house and finding some robbers there, which leads to a conflict. But, how and why are those robbers there? And is the cult any closer to finding out who was leaking info?

Ginny And Georgia- Georgia’s trial starts, and it already feels like a hot mess. But, Paul is clearly worried that Georgia’s last two husbands… never mind. I guess they’ll have sex instead. Marcus fesses up to trashing the English classroom which gets him suspended.

Twisted Metal- It had been a minute since Grimm was mentioned in description, but in this Prom themed episode, he makes out with Vermin. there’s no way either of these characters survive. Quiet is suspicious, and she ends up being right. Calypso has one final twist for the drivers. I’m really curious about the next episode, as it would either be a series finale, or season. if they do what they’re told, game over. Series finale. This was one of the better described episodes, in that it seemed like they didn’t leave any of the key visual cues out, which they’ve done in the past… a lot.
