The Girlfriend- Definitely doing a full review. I have thoughts. Wait for that.the Lowdown- Hawke’s Lee keeps pulling at a thread, and danger still befalls him. He ends up having to admit to his daughter why he was in jail..kind of. I’m still waiting for that moment to be sucked fully into this show. it’s like something that has vibes, but is very much on the outer rim of shows I like and am watching. If I had too many, I think I could cut this and review it. But, I’ll push on and see if the mystery and plot thicken. The narration is fine. I don’t have any problems with that.

Shifting Gears- This show is better in Season 2, and just like last week, it is made better by an increasing amount of guest/recurring stars. Jenna Elfman has just the right energy to counter Tim Allen, and Lily Singh coming in to bounce off Kat Dennings, also, inspired. the AD is still great, but now that I’ve experienced The Paper, there’s no going back.

Billy the Kid- i like that we start off with Billy as a kid, growing into the Kid. That helps. It’s not my favorite MGM Plus original, but it’ll do. Deadwood is a better modern western production if you’re looking for quick shots and saloons. the audio description here is good, done by DVW.

wayward- we learn more inside and out, as our cop investigates, and learns some dark secrets about the town he just moved to, and how his wife fits into it. t isn’t just the school, it’s the town. Meanwhile, inside, the girls try to keep moving the needle in their direction, but things are precarious, and unexpected. this is also DVW, and has some great AD as well.

Tulsa King- I keep waiting for Stallone to burnt he other guy to the ground, because it seems as though his last bit of patience should be worn by now. He does spend a lot of time riding around with Kevin Pollack. say what you want about Taylor Sheridan’s shows, but the man attracts talented casts. His Yellowstone spinoff headlined by Kelly Reilly and Cole hauser is an example, as that cast continues to get stacked.
