From- love the show, but what they try to pull off here in terms of misdirection would work better after the fact if Tabitha hadn’t specifically suggested that location. I just noticed the new AD team here has managed to do the Apple-impossible and describe both visuals in the opening credits sequence AND give us the credits. If you showed this to PixelLogic, they’d have a stroke. yes, doing both is possible. You actually can describe some of the visuals of the opening, while also giving us the cast. If I was on a From podcast, I’d want to get into the juxtaposition of how Sophie seems to be acclimating rather well, against Acosta’s mental fatigue and what she does in the episode. Sophie has been there less than a day, and has come to terms with where she is, meanwhile Acosta was introduced at the beginning of Season 3, and still refuses to accept her fate. Doesn’t that strike anyone else as weird?
One Piece- Guest Star Alert! Katey Sagal guest stars as a doctor who helps the straw hats. This episode felt a little long, though it was well described by IDC.I’m surprised that one character got killed off though. Not a major player, but she had been introduced this season in a way that suggested she’d make more of an impact, and then got taken out rather easily in her fight.
Million Dollar secret- This is one of the few reality competition shows I liked. I’m glad Netflix stuck with it for a second season. It is interesting, and well described. it does take a minute for everyone to get a name, but when they were choosing their rooms, I thought it did a solid job of naming or describing them, and we got all the various animals. Who chooses snake? If you want anyone to trust you, you don’t want to choose snake right out of the gate like that. The first millionaire seems really screwed as the first episode ends on a cliffhanger.
Paradise- A little tardy to this party, but I’m shocked that they killed off who they do in this episode. There are some nice themes being drawn between Annie’s pregnancy, and her blossoming friendship with Xavier, plus a story about the first birth that happened in Paradise. Special guest star James Marsden! But yeah, and then the cliffhanger at the end of the episode? Damn. Paradise is not messing around this season.
BatFam- Lil Batman has to team up with ManBat after his dad doesn’t want him to work on his case with him, and ignores Damien’s concern for a trading card thief. Oddly, not yet renewed.
