Coming up this week, is honestly not a lot. Netflix has a new Animated film on Friday, Swapped, which has Michael B Jordan and Juno Temple as the voice leads, and Netflix will also drop their series adaptation of Man On Fire, now starring Yaya Abdul Mateen II on Thursday. Aside from those drops, it is a pretty bleak landscape this week.

Beef- This episode heavily featured Asher and Ashley over the others, as Ashley had a medical crisis, and her relationship is tested. Lindsay is barely in the episode, with Josh having slightly more screentime than her. The AD here, once again, is great. Love hearing Andrew Thatcher.
Shrinking- It is interesting to see where this is headed, knowing it was also renewed for a fourth season. From what I know, everyone is set to return next season. This episode mostly focused on Jimmy and his complex relationship with his father, which he allows to destroy his new relationship, while waiting for his dad to break his daughter’s heart.Emmy nominations should sweep this series.
Unchosen- I could live without this. Mainly, the show does an odd job of establishing what this cult believes, and it is more of a pick it up as you go along type of thing. Then there’s the introduction of Sam, which is a little disjointed, though Adrenaline Studios did try to nail the flashback format the series insists on using. I’m not sure this is peak TV. I’m thinking this is more of like a filler program that is there if you’re bored. Not terrible, but also not great. It’s supposed to be about a woman breaking free of a religious cult, but that doesn’t really happen yet, and the cult is oddly established.
Ted- Some of the jokes land perfectly. The AD is imperfect though, as it struggles to pick up all the physical comedy and sight gags. it gets some, sure, and that helps a lot.
Sheriff Country- This was so successful, CBS has started to explore a second spinoff of Fire Country. This is still about picking up the pieces from that two-parter they just had, and having conversations about when it’s OK to return to work, and if our Sheriff can ever really forgive her father. Nice audio description, per usual for the series.
