Summer Of Sam: 25th Anniversary

I’ve been using anniversaries as an excuse to celebrate the audio description behind certain films. Spike Lee’s Summer Of Sam actually has audio description on Paramount Plus, and I missed it upon release, and actually have never seen it. It boasts a promising cast, led by John Leguizamo, Adrien Brody, Mira Sorvino, and Jennifer Esposito. Really, it’s the doldrums of TV news right now. Even in the world of movie news, the best I got is that I just learned there was a movie in theatres called Anyone But You that stars Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney. Jake Johnson mentioned yesterday that he does not believe Starz will renew Minx. I’m telling you, it’s the only reason I haven’t cancelled yet. I’m living on a prayer. The cancellation sword is still swinging, as AMC inexplicably cancelled Lucky Hank after one season, and ABC is slowly purging Seattle Grace, with the announcement that Season 7 is the final season of Station 19. So, not a great news day for TV fans. Yesterday was definitely a much better day in terms of the quality of programming watched.
