I’ve been deep diving a bit more into the SAG-AFTRA talks and some of the stuff they’re requesting isn’t unreasonable. Actually, none of it is. Just take some of these CEO salaries, lower them, and you’ll have the money to pay for some of this stuff. Also, for the poor people without cable or Peacock, Yellowstone is coming to CBS in the fall since they are a little short on new programming. Add to that, the UK version of Ghosts, which I’m at least interested in checking out.

Emmy Nominations are being announced at 11:30EST this morning. may the odds be ever in your shows favor. Unless your show is Yellowstone. Sex Education is ending with Season 4. I’m OK with that. It’s a show about High Schoolers. one of their main cast is now Doctor Who. And, several key cast aren’t coming back for the final season. i did pick up some wind on the internet that hulu was dropping Alaska Daily and The Company You Keep from the service. i haven’t checked. i watched all of Alaska Daily, so it disappeared from my queue, and since i removed The Company you Keep from my watch history when I stopped watching it, it stopped being suggested to me. I happened to stumble on a show I’ve been checking semi-frequently on audio description, and I found out that Yellowjackets (Season 1) now has AD. this was a show I had started, but didn’t finish. I’m starting over on it. In the slow world of TV news, networks are starting to assume that they won’t have scripted programs for the Fall, and are once again leaning on reality series. NBC just ordered a new Wild Kingdom show for the fall. Well, the cancellation monster arrived at NBC yesterday and got rid of young Roc and Grand Crew. I believe that leaves only American Auto on the bubble. Meanwhile, ABC passed on all remaining pilots except The Good lawyer, which remains on the bubble with The Rookie Feds and Home Economics. I did not plan this today. But i watched a new episode of Citadel the same day Amazon greenlit a second season. Well, fans of SWAT have had a very confusing past couple of days. After cancelling the hit drama on Friday, and seeing a torrent of backlash for cancelling a show that has risen in ratings every season, CBS has reversed its decision and given SWATT a 7th season renewal. That renewal comes at the expense of Freshman drama East New York, which was looking good for renewal and instead got the boot. A couple more interesting WGA Strike tidbits. The Rings Of Power was told to continue filming without it’s showrunners (who are WGA members, and on strike). So if you were concerned about the quality last season, this could either be a good or bad thing. Probably bad though. And Evil, which was finishing filming on its fourth season, ended up wrapping filming early because the strike was too disruptive. I don’t know how you end early in a positive way.
