If you have a fear of parrots, this movie might not be for you. This one has a talking parrot right at the center, and the parrot is death. Literal death. Well, I reached the season finale of Upload (Amazon) finally, and wouldn’t that be insane if this show didn’t get a 4th season? Just. Wow. Also, made it through part three of Far Away Downs (Hulu), which I love the fact it has an Australian narrator. Yesterday was the nominations for the Critics Choice Film section, and my quick hot take is: they are more concerned with being a bellwether for predicting the Oscar’s that they aren’t doing anything interesting anymore. The SAG strike is over, and within minutes actors were being notified of projected start dates for filming so that shows can air some episodes in the spring. A tentative deal has been reached between the studios and the writers. The details have yet to be made public, but should be shortly as the membership has to vote on it. An official vote by leadership happens on Tuesday, which will solidify this a bit more, and possibly allow some writers to return to work.
