Julianne Moore is out of contention for this years Oscar race, as new distributor of her Maps To The Stars has declared it will not seek an Oscar qualifying run for this year, and it will release the film in early 2015. Moore’s performance in the David Cronenberg pic was rumored to be a frontrunner performance.

This opens up the category a bit more. Rosamund Pike is likely for Gone Girl, Amy Adams is rumored for Big Eyes, Reese Witherspoon is a lock for Wild, Hilary Swank should get nominated for The Homesman, which means the fifth spot is open. Will it be Meryl Streep for Into The Woods (or will she run in supporting)? Will it be Jessica Chastain, or will she cancel it out by having two performances (Miss Julie & The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby)? There’s also Anne Hathaway for Interstellar…
