Bad Judge and A To Z might be around a lot longer than Selfie and Manhattan Love Story. The two sitcoms debuted to better ratings on Thursday, with low expectations. Bad Judge had 5.9M viewers and a 1.3 in the demo, and A To Z followed with 4.8M and a 1.2 in the demo. The Biggest Loser (4.7M/1.3) started the night for NBC and Parenthood (4.4M/1.3) closed it out with a whimper.
The CW also started its premieres with The Vampire Diaries (1.8M, 0.9) and Reign (1.3M, 0.4).
FOX launched Gracepoint (4.8M, 1.2), which wasn’t a big hit. FOX has been having a really rough fall season. Bones (6.3M, 1.5) is a bright spot for them.
ABC’s shows continued to dominate. Grey’s Anatomy (9M/2.6) beat everything except Football. Scandal (10.4M/3.3) destroyed everything in its wake, except Football. How To Get Away With Murder (11.8M/3.2) killed everything except Football.
That elusive CBS Football won the night in both total viewers and in the demo with 12.9M and 4.4.
Even though 4.8 isn’t amazing, it’s still better than the numbers that Utopia and Red Band Society pull in. Gracepoint is hardly the weakest spot in FOX’s lineup. Plus, it’s up against Scandal.
