The Too Much TV Roundup- November 7th

Well, the last normal TV watching day before election night takes over everyone’s televisions. And, now there’s a tropical storm headed my way. I feel like… God didn’t like how Florida voted.

7) Fire Country (CBS/Paramount Plus)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Well, I didn’t even know there was a Stage 5. Most medical dramas suggest Stage 4 is the worst. But, our soon-to-die mom will leave behind turmoil, as Bodhie rescued a horse, but also got knocked out of his job for being a nice guy. The drama on this show is so confusing sometimes.

Episode Grade: B

6) The Masked Singer (FOX)

English Audio Description?: No

The Cheetah girls had to fight for survival against an athlete rapper and… someone I thought was going to be on this season, albeit with his brothers.. Yes, that’s me predicting that The cheetah Girls are in those costumes.

Episode Grade: B

5) This Fool (Hulu)

English Audio Description?: Yes

This week, we learned not to make too many Austin Powers jokes… in 2022. Apparently, also, if you can’t find an Austin Powers costume, a dinosaur making Austin Powers jokes is also supposed to be funny.

Episode Grade: B+

4) Archer (FX/Hulu)

English Audio Description?: No

Archer and Company have to rescue Archer’s therapist. And just like all women, she also wants to sleep with Archer. A pretty average episode, except for Pam’s description of where she lives. That was gold.

Episode Grade: A-

3) The imperfects (Netflix)

English Audio Description?: Yes

I’m really starting to dig this show. our core cast is lured somewhere nefarious, while someone is killing off doctors who worked on the project. That’s all I’ll say, except you guys should start checking out The Imperfects. It hasn’t been cancelled by netflix yet, maybe there’s hope.

Episode Grade: A

2) Last Week tonight With john Oliver (HBo/HBo MAX)

English audio Description?: No

John goes after the midterm elections. Finally. Thank God. It dominated the episode, so it was all we got.

Episode Grade: A

1) The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Of course, this powerful hour directed by Bradley Whitford wins the day. The penultimate episode of the season landed some heavy hits with a rescue attempt on Hannah, and the realization that she still remembers her old name, to June’s tense standoff with nick, and phone call with Lawrence. I stand by what I said last week though. This season has totally failed Moira. Samira Wiley deserves so much better.

Final Grade: A
