Jake Johnson mentioned yesterday that he does not believe Starz will renew Minx. I’m telling you, it’s the only reason I haven’t cancelled yet. I’m living on a prayer. The good news is that they immediately cancelled and pulled Heels right after the finale, and cancelled shining Veil immediately, so the fact they are even thinking about minx means it has a shot.

Mad Santa kidnaps the Easter Bunny. Kal has a great moment with his dad, and later a heartbreaking one. Meanwhile, Mrs. Claus is jealous about the time her daughter is learning to become a witch… and I just remember that first film. It was so simple, so perfect, and I’m really not sure why we are here.

Fun fact. Australians don’t get audio description to this show. But, they make it, and it gets shipped off for international use. How weird is that? This second episode is charming, but starts off so weird and out of context with a main character…. Unable to find a bathroom.

We flashback to how Chucky, with Caroline’s help, gets inside the White House, and also why he needs to. That second season baptism is really screwing with him. Also, RIP to the great white whale.

6) The Masked Singer (Hulu)

The winner is a platinum selling, Grammy winner, so I can’t argue that. Also, the runner-up, who isn’t known for singing, and charmed us with his story all season long, apparently sent some politically right wing tweets after the show before deleting them, and Deadline is reporting he’s being investigated by the Secret Service. Looks like the show dodged a scandal.

Episode Grade: B+ (because I totally told all of you a few weeks back who one of these singers was, and I was right.)

7) Julia (MAX)

Status: Not Yet renewed

Dragging out the Julia in France thing is bringing down the show. We have to focus on two totally different groups in two different locations. And the show devotes a lot of time to what is happening back at the studio. The show is Julia. The show was about her TV show. Right now, the show isn’t about anything. It still has great acting, but someone smashed the puzzle and it needs to be put back together.
