Witch Hat Atelier- Morena Babu (whose name I assume I’m not getting correct) is an excellent AD writer. This series has terrific writing, which really captures the magic and fantasy of the show, while always trying to bring some flair of the artistic choices. Here, we got a flashback to Richi’s past and why she is determined to do things herself. She finally starts getting explored more as a character, as we already feel who Coco and Agat are. Wonderful show, one episode left, then Crunchy Roll can have their review.

XO Kitty- Kitty spends the day at a theme park thinking about her future, and just when she thinks she has one with Mino, it is revealed that he did a bad bad thing. Maybe. Also, Eunice just did one of the things they warn you not to do before getting on a roller coaster, so while I don’t want to sound morbid, maybe the thing she thinks she is… she isn’t. Anymore. I don’t think it takes one ride, but there’s a reason those warnings exist. DVW has some lovely AD here with multiple narrators.

Spider-Noir- More wonderful description as more powered individuals show up to give us some fantastical things. Ben has relied too much on KAt, obviously, which is about to bite him in the ass. But, Media Access Group and Brianna Leon have done some really good AD work here. Still no renewal decision here.

Monarch- A rather short episode, all things considered, which basically moves people into place, and sets up the impending final conflict. Jedidiah Barton does the AD here, and it’s fine, but it is much better when a titan is on screen. Another series with no renewal decision yet.

Crutch- You might think it is weird that I’m still making my way through this, but episode 7 was one of the better episodes, and the mother-in-law they introduced should recur more. I actually thought she was going to have a thing with Tracy Morgan’s character for a minute there. I didn’t catch a renewal announcement, but an article recently in US Weekly has some cast discussing the upcoming second season. So, take that for what you will. Morgan will have to work quickly since his other show at NBC, THe Fall and Rise Of Reggie Dinkins also got renewed.

The Daily Show- Expected material covered, including the peace treaty, the Knicks winning, and the UFC fight. He also interviewed Georgia Sen. Rafael Warnock, the Reverend who isn’t up for reelection right now.
