Can you imagine if Disney had the audacity to announce Wonder Man’s cancellation in front of their comic con panel? I love how they waited until right after and then slid in with “by the way”. As if they weren’t getting negative reactions from people still looking for previously discussed Blade and Shang Chi movies, which have seemingly vanished.

Chaos Theory- I’ve always really enjoyed the AD for these shows, done by DVW. Paula Hoffman is narrating. I like how it tracks the action, brings out character moments, and challenges the audience by calling dinosaurs by their genus names instead of working so hard to describe each species. For a series aimed at kids, it sparks the imagination to look into dinosaurs, which is what this is intended to do.
Daemons Of THe Shadow Realm- I definitely like Witch Hat Atelier more in description and in content. This one has fine written description (still TTS voice), but often expects us to know and remember every Daemon, and I’m still not sure in size relativity to the other characters just how big any or all of them are. The series has a ton of potential it has yet to unlock because it is trapped in a whirlpool of world building, and can’t seem to figure out how to make it interesting and advance the plot, while also explaining the world it lives in.
Star City- I’m mixed on this, but as this was the final episode, I hope to put my thoughts together in a full review.
Sheriff Country- Wes gets the money back but pisses off the DEA in the process. Will I watch Season 2? I don’t know. The AD here is solid.
Tracker- I think, between the two Media Access Group shows, Tracker was a bit better. There was a bit more specificity in here, looking at tracks, finding clues, remarking when someone is wearing a tactical vest, etc. Plus the murder room was well described. One of the better Tracker episode in general from a mixed third season.
Life Larry and the Pursuit Of Unhappyness- I groaned more than laughed. I wish this show was non stop laughs, and for someone I’m sure it is, but that’s not me. I think I laughed once during the Deep Throat segment. The AD here is fine. It’s essentially a sketch comedy show, but it doesn’t rely heavily on prop or sight gags, mostly purely on writing.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire- Pretty basic AD. I’m pretty sure it is synthetic. I’m less concerned about game shows being synthetic than movies or scripted series. Most game shows hit you with the set up for the stage, and mostly track scores, or on screen clues to the questions, like on Millionaire when they use a 50/50, reminding us which clues remain. It did that once, but missed it another time.
Best? I really liked Tracker this week. Sometimes Tracker really pops, and I think it found all the right beats this episode.
Worst AD: The thing about Global 3 is the TTS they use isn’t mixed poorly, and doesn’t make mistakes. They have better writers, and therefore it passes Millionaire, leaving the decidedly average synthetic narration at the bottom. It did miss a 50/50, and there aren’t many things it actually needs to accomplish. Millionaire loses.
