And in other news, stay classy Disney. They managed to drop both the new Camp Rock 3 AND the highly anticipated X-Files: I Want To Believe Directors Cut without audio description. Truly, Disney is a beacon of accessibility. Synthetic voices on premium content, and a continued failure to even provide description on others. Drawing creativity from diversity.

Silo- a solid episode as the race to achieve things before the forgetting drugs take effect, Lucas and Patrick are sent to Silo 17, Juliet has to make a tough choice, Camille catches her husband pulling tricks, and in the flashback, Daniel and Co see the silos being built. The AD here was good.

Stuart Fails To Save THe Universe- Another solid episode with a Big Bang cameo from Mayim Bialik, and Stuart has to escape what seems like a utopian world, only to end up realizing he’s actually in… well. You’ll see brand integration when you watch the episode. The AD here, Eli Schiff and (Point 360? Zoo Digital?) is fantastic. I rarely look forward to title sequences, but because Stuart Fails has a new set of gags each week, I do for this.

Tomb Raider King- We see a man get defeated by a snake, and then he wakes up in the past, and is very confused, as we are. A crow sent him here, but this looks pretty normal, except the world is about to open up for some relics, and our guy is a relic hunter, who knows all aobut the tombs. Now he’s in jail, but he can see a holographic interface that seems to be a bit on the snarky side, like KITT from Knight Rider. It is still Global 3 on my third CrunchyRoll anime, but this Melvina Babu who writes for them is one of the best writers in the game. This show is nonsense, but they pul so much description out of it. I’m not a fan of synthetic voice, and how flat it is here, but damn if the script isn’t terrific.

Detective Hole- On the other hand, this is not as good of synthetic. First, the voice isn’t as good, and the description feels ickier as a result if you aren’t a synthetic fan. However, for now, Harry has closed the case, until Netflix decides to renew or cancel this show.

Will Trent- Will has been crazy all season, so an episode where he’s losing his mind again felt like an unnecessary 17th cherry on top. Will Trent needs medical attention. Please see someone, Will, before Season 5. I’m not doing the increasingly insane detective thing for another season, though the audio description here is better than it has ever been. Go figure. It isn’t that the episode doesn’t have moments, but we spent all season with Will seeing things that weren’t there already, and talking to people who don’t exist, so by the time you actually need it for impactful reasons, it still feels like he needs psychological help.

Best: Stuart Fails- loved this track. It finds exactly what it needs every episode, except that one time it dodged the asshole. Otherwise, this was great.

Worst: Detective Hole- In the battle of synthetic descriptions, Tomb Raider King was written better and sounded more palatable. I was less aware I was being fed broken glass.
