Coming up this week, a bit of a slow week, Lanterns (HBO) premieres tonight, Outer Banks (Netflix) returns for a final season on Thursday, with Conan O’Brien Must Go (HBO) dropping on Friday. Disney is celebrating itself all week long with various content on Disney Plus, and features like Passenger (Paramount) and Mother Mary (HBO MAX) hit their streamers. I also believe THe Christophers (Hulu) is dropping this week.

Avatar: The Last Airbender- Almsot knocked this out, but it was a lot. Basically, Ang needs to learn to Earth bend, from someone. Zuko is being hunted by his sister, while also performing normal tasks. Ang wants to get his refugees the aid they require. DVW is doing this description with Connor DeWolf and Ross Minor and it’s lovely, coming from a casual Avatar fan. The bending is solid, and the introduction of the blind character who helps Ang on his journey is balanced somewhat by the authentic casting of a blind narrator this season. The actress isn’t blind, but wore vision blocking contacts, and worked with a blind consultant on her role. Fun facts. I’ve got em.
Pop Culture Jeopardy- I did pretty well, and the champions were pretty predictable. The AD here is leagues better than what Millionaire is getting on ABC.
Marshals- Someone has cancer, and Miles is on a revenge tour. Casey and rainwater lament what once was, and used to be. The AD here was fine, as usual.
Little House On The Prairie- Independence needs a land treaty with the Osage. Can they secure it? Doc has been holding a secret from Emily, Mary gets closer to her crush, and a Pastor comes to town to talk about building a church/school. The AD here by VSI Los Angeles, narrated by Roy Samuelson was solid. At first, I thought we were missing translation, because it took William a minute to start translating the Osage for the English speakers in the cast. But he does.
Rooster- After crushing the soul of the one student who worshipped him, and losing his FWB relationship, Rooster needs to make friends with Walt, help Dylan get a promotion, and meet the father of the girl that his daughter’s husband got pregnant. Nothing weird about that. Love the show.
There’s no bad audio description here, or even close, so I’ll just do a Best Of, which would be Avatar. So many action sequences, costumes, bending, and other fantasy elements. It had a lot of heavy lifting to do, and Connor (who also wrote House Of The Dragon) is proving to be a force for writing terrific fantasy scripts.
