TV Shows Watched: The Walking dead: Dead City: S3E6 (AMC Plus) with audio description, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed: S1E10 (Apple) with audio description, Sheriff Country: Season finale (Paramount) with audio description, The Legend of Vox Machina: S4E2 (Amazon) with audio description, The Five Star Weekend: S1E3 (Peacock) with audio description, Breaking Bad: S4E9 (Netflix) with audio description, Hacks: S5E9 (HBO MAX) with audio description
Dead City- AMC Plus failed to get the AD up for this alternate reality version of The Walking Alive, where the zombie apocalypse never happened, and Negan and Maggie still have a fateful meeting.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed- Perhaps I’ll review. The season finale certainly sets up a fun season two, as Paula mostly recovers from Season 1 just in time for the other shoe to drop. PixelLogic did good description for this, but something tells me that land on the lamp pole was a bit more violent than the gore freee description.
Sheriff Country- Season Finale has some big mic drop moments. Lots of mics dropped. Media Access Group did this.
Legend Of Vox Machina- Wonderful AD (also by Media Access?) for this fantasy animation. Always new creatures to fight.
The Five Star Engagement- They have these really wonderful bursts of amazing audio description. The show is fluffy, for Virgin River fans who want better acting, but I like the description.
Breaking Bad- Flawless. Mostly Jesse, Mike, and Gus travel to Mexico, Walt is recovering, and Skylar tries to get her dumbass ex to do the right thing after gifting him money, through Saul. DVW and the late Diane Newman.
Hacks- It’s OK. Hacks, like most comedies, fights its format. The episode was exceptional, with only one more left for me to go.
Best AD: Breaking Bad- Just the final like ten minutes are pure perfection.
Worst AD: Dead City- For not having any.
