Former ‘Idol’ Doing Porn Now…

His porn name is Jadyn Daniels. There really isn’t much more to say about this… other than I really hope they feature him as an esteemed alumni during next seasons results shows. Marisa Ramirez, who joined the show last season, has been promoted to series regular on Blue Bloods. She plays Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) partner. She was one of three potential girls who could have taken the spot vacated controversially by Jennifer Esposito, who was let go after Season 2, and has claimed she was forced out because she has Celiac Disease. Weekend Box Office: A rousing shakeup and ‘After Earth’ bombs
1) Fast and Furious 6- 34.0M weekend, 169.8M total After dominating last week, it should be no surprise that Fast 6 was able to dominate again with not much of a fight from the new releases. The big question next week is The Internship, which just did a sneak preview last night, and swears that audiences love it. We shall see next weekend if they can trump the third weekend of Fast. 2) Now You See Me- 27.5M weekend, 27.5M total A low cost caper film beat out an A-lister’s post apocalyptic actioner. That’s the news story here. Jesse Eisenberg … Continue reading Weekend Box Office: A rousing shakeup and ‘After Earth’ bombs

RIP Jean Stapleton
Jean Stapleton, best known for playing Edith Bunker on All In The Family, has died at the age of 90 of natural causes at her home. Her contribution to TV goes beyond being a Bunker, and into roles Archie Bunkers Place, Beakman’s World, Scarecrow and Mrs King, and Touched By An Angel. Continue reading RIP Jean Stapleton
Dan Harmon returning to ‘Community’
According to Dan Harmon himself, via his Twitter, he will be returning to Community, and according to the studio, final deals are just being smoothed out. This is great news for fans of the show, who may have felt the show lacked in quality last season without Dan at the helm. Interestingly, in his tweet, he said for fans to thank Joel McHale. Did Joel throw his star power around and get Dan rehired? I would think that there is no “throwing around” for a show that just barely got renewed. Continue reading Dan Harmon returning to ‘Community’
USA Passes On ‘Happy Endings’
If you need me, I’ll be in my kitchen eating all of my ice cream. In what is heartbreaking news for me, one of the biggest fans of Happy Endings, USA has decided not to pick up the sitcom, citing low ratings as a reason. The rabid fanbase is pushing Sony to help find it a new home, perhaps on Amazon, which just ordered two new comedies. This is totally not ah-mah-zing news. Friday Box Office: ‘After Earth’ flops in third
1) Fast and Furious 6 After raking in 10.5 million yesterday, Fast 6 seems on track to easily win the weekend again, bringing in another 35 million. That’s still quite a drop from last week, and even slightly disappointing considering the lack of a fight that After Earth has put up. 2) Now You See Me Now You See Me raked in 10M from late Thursday shows and Friday. The film is dramatically overperforming, and is looking at a weekend gross of 27M, above the studio’s projection of 20M. Now You See Me also managed an A Cinemascore (somehow), which … Continue reading Friday Box Office: ‘After Earth’ flops in third
The Contenders: A Look At 5 Upcoming Oscar Hopefuls
1) Nebraska Alexander Payne (The Descendants, Sideways) returns with a film that was a huge hit at Cannes this year. Lead actor Bruce Dern even won an award there. With Will Forte in the cast, might he get a surprising Best Supporting Actor nomination? Or is Macgruber too much of a long shot? Nebraska features an aging alcoholic making a road trip with his son to claim a million dollar prize. Basically, the pundits agree that it is a strong contender for a Best Picture, Director, Actor, and Screenplay nomination. The wildcard here is Forte. 2) American Hustle Every once … Continue reading The Contenders: A Look At 5 Upcoming Oscar Hopefuls
Sam Mendes to return for Bond 24 (and Bond 25?)
After the acclaim that Skyfall received, it should be no surprised that Sam Mendes has signed to return for Bond 24.
