‘Furious 6’ opens to 6.5 mil. midnights
Making more than double what Hangover 3 did on Wednesday night, Fast and Furious 6 managed 6.5 million in midnight shows. This also surpasses the midnights of Great Gatsby and Star Trek: Into Darkness, but it falls short of Iron Man 3’s total. Hangover 3 managed only 11.7 million on Thursday, including the midnights, leading many to believe the threequel will fall short of even 50M this weekend. Furious 6 has already made 53.4 million overseas, and will look to continue to add to that sum this weekend. Continue reading ‘Furious 6’ opens to 6.5 mil. midnights

Intervention returns June 13th. Continue reading A&E Cancels Your ‘Intervention’

Midnight Box Office: Hangover III pulls in 3.1 in midnight shows
Last night, Hangover 3 managed to do 3.1 million in midnight shows across the country. That’s down from the previous Hangover, as well as The Great Gatsby earlier this summer, and of course Iron Man 3. Trouble ahead for the wolf pack? At a brisk 1 hr and 40 minutes, Hangover is hoping that more showtimes means more box office, as it battles against longer shows with less showtimes. Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and Hollywood is trying to attack you with two brand new sequels to some high-profile franchises, as well as a kids cartoon that could do really well with a complete lack of competition. 1) Fast and Furious 6- 87M Weekend, 87M total Fast Five opened a few years back, in April, and managed about the same box office. However, Fast Five didn’t open the same weekend as a Hangover sequel, and the second weekend of Star Trek.
