Best Of 2023: Ensembles In A Comedy Series

Another celebration of the best of 2023. Since shows can’t be trusted to actually stay Limited, I’ve just rolled them into what I either interpret as Comedy or Drama. Kinda like the Globes. All of these shows have audio description except one, and its first season had audio description. Well, the shoe dropped. ABC officially cancelled Home Economics. It’s an odd decision, considering everything I’ve read suggests that sitcoms are the quickest thing to get back on the air. I’m getting a little tired of renewals not meaning anything anymore. Peacock has reversed its decision on a second season of Bumper In Berlin. Why even bother with renewals? Why lie to fans if your plan is to just piss them off later on by yanking the show away? I wonder what social media is going to do to all the actors who wrote in letters of support for Danny Masterson. It’s not a great look right now for several of his former cast mates, as well as some random names like Giovanni Ribisi and Jonathan Tucker. i think what is truly telling is that not all of the cast did write letters. I saw the upcoming list of shows starting next week, and Virgin River is likely the one most worth mentioning. MAX is sticking with And Just Like That, picking up the series for a third season. Well, Amazon done gone and pissed me the hell off. be careful what you wish for kids, because sometimes you get TV news. Amazon, in an effort to endear themselves with their subscribers, has reversed their second season renewals on both The Peripheral and A League of Their Own. Perhaps, the guy starring in the Spy Kids reboot shouldn’t maybe complain too much. I did use a chunk of my day to watch the January 6th hearings, so less actual TV was watched.
