The Small Screen Diaries- 03/19/24

Not surprising at all, but CBS will continue to air its Australian import, NCIS: Sydney for its second season, despite already having two NCIS shows, and currently in development on two more. Fun fact, this entire franchise only exists thanks to a series being rescued from cancellation. Possibly the smartest “save our show” ever has turned out to be CBS picking up JAG after it was cancelled at NBC after one season. Without that, they wouldn’t have had the long and successful run of the original show, nor would they have NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS New Orleans, NCIS Hawaii, … Continue reading The Small Screen Diaries- 03/19/24

The Too Much TV Roundup- 05/16/23

Well, ABC certainly had a big day. in general, all of Disney did. Disney Plus even made some big date announcements, putting Loki Season 2 in October and Echo in November. But, over at ABC, they have enough unscripted content to make the fall interesting. Not only is Dancing With The Stars back, but they’re changing the Bachelor format this year to feature The Golden Bachelor, for women of a certain age. Most of these people are earthy, somewhat redneck, back woodsy types. Simple small town folk. Predominantly white. I’m … Continue reading End Of The Road

The Too Much TV Roundup- May 16th

Despite actually having to work at my job yesterday (Yes, i still have one of those), I still managed to knock out a fair amount of programming. Who earned the top spot from this random assortment? 1) Bridgerton (Netflix) English Audio Description Available?: Yes You know, i never quite commend Bridgerton for all the great audio description, but this is top notch. Lots of comments about heaving bosoms, which when you think about how many watch this program for the escapist romantic entanglements, makes a certain kind of description really appropriate. Plus, with such a wide ensemble, I somehow never … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 16th
