Cruel Intentions: 25th Anniversary- Still Just A Bittersweet Symphony Quick Take: one of the rare instances where an adaptation or a remake of a source material gains life of its own. Election: 25th Anniversary- A Timely Look Back On High School Politics Quick Take: Election didn’t work for me when I was 16. It came out when I was being bombarded by teen movies in 1999. It wasn’t until later, when I realized how good Alexander Payne was, that I revisited it, and understood all the nuance. I wish I could toss out this list and fill it with all of the amazing performances of Matthew Perry that I managed to watch yesterday. Perry was such a tremendous talent, who landed too many one-and-done shows that truly deserved a second season. Best Buy announced they will no longer be selling physical media after this holiday season. That breaks my heart. I have a massive physical media collection of DVD’s and BluRay’s, and before losing my vision, I used to love to hit up Best Buy on Black Friday, run in and grab a ton of new entries to my collection for cheap. The studios claim they have made their best and final offer to the WGA,. After four days of negotiations, the two are scheduled to meet again today. I do believe this has to be ratified by the membership, so if there aren’t major concessions made by the studios it won’t pass.
