Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Keke Palmer, John Stamos, Taylor Lautner, Kirstie Alley, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Niecy Nash
I’m still hopeful for Season 2. I think that it was just an attempt to bring Season 1 into Season 2, and it’s a lot of nonsense. Like the Chanels would ever be doctors. But, I was happy to see Emma Roberts and Keke Palmer again, so I’ll ignore the specifics.
There is a new masked villain, and a backstory. Basically, the hospital was super shitty back in the day, and they dumped a patient in a swamp to die. So, the killer is either the patient who mutated into a swamp monster, or the child he left behind, or another crazy.
I can see from the preview for the rest of the season that more Niecy Nash and Glen Powell are in store, which this series needs. Taylor Lautner is still an awful actor, and this series needs less of him and more of Nash/Powell. I was intrigued by Kirstie Alley, who doesn’t get enough screentime. John Stamos is a solid cast addition, but his comic timing isn’t as strong as other cast members.
It’s not off to a strong start, but I’m hoping it’ll really get going and be as good as Season 1. But if we were going just based off of Pilot to Season Premiere, we’re definitely down in quality.
Hopeful, but still disappointed.
