Because it’s becoming a bit insane to try and track all of the television I watch, and come up with a list of 10 shows, here’s everything I watched yesterday, ranked in order of best to worst, or favorite to least favorite. You now get the whole picture.

1) Severance (Apple Plus)

So, I had mentioned the last time I listed this show, I was one episode from the finale. Now it’s done, it’s behind me, and my mind in blown. I can’t wait for Season 2. This show is highly addictive, and gets better and better. It will be interesting to see if this show shakes up the mega-crowded Emmy race this year. Some twists and turns were had for sure in the finale. i don’t normally slap grades on episodes or seasons, but let’s start doing that.

2) Bridgerton (Netflix)

English Audio Description available?: Yes

I guess when I thought I was on Episode 4, I was incorrect, and meant that Episode 4 is what I just watched. So, the ramping up tension between Antony and Kate, but also some developments with Colin, Prudence, and the supporting cast kept me interested. The episode had a nice cliffhanger type ending to it. I enjoy this series, and it’s in the vein of shows I don’t normally like.

Episode Grade: A-

3) American Idol (ABC/Hulu)

English audio Description Available?: No

i disagree with those eliminations, well at least one of them, and I miss the old days when they went home one at a time. While it might be a spoiler, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I was rooting for Christian, who was born with a serious visual defect, but an amazing voice. Some treatments he’s had have helped to improve his vision, but still, that kid was my spirit animal. They also did their best with two contestants testing positive for Covid, and I loved all the original songs performed this week.

Episode Grade: A-

4) Last Week Tonight (HBO/HBO MAX)

English Audio Description Available?: Sometimes. if you’re willing to wait long enough.

Since I watch it the next day, I always seem to miss out on the audio description. However, I really don’t need it most of the time. I would have preferred it this time around if it meant translating some stuff from the second half that was dedicated to the elections in the Philippines.

Episode Grade: A-

5) Outlander (Starz)

English audio Description Available?: Perhaps. But not if you watch the current season on Starz.

I have been struggling to watch this show for seasons now, and I just heard some blind folk talking about watching this with audio description, and I have no idea how or where. It’s not fair that Starz won’t air audio description, and you have to get it somewhere else. So I’m punished and trying to make it through this season. That being said, this was the season finale, and by far this was the least interesting season so far. I know they tried to kick it up a notch at the end, but i felt like it languished a lot, and these actors have had much meatier material before.

6) Shining Veil (Starz)

English Audio description Available?: no

Also tried to slog my way through this horror comedy. Sometimes it was funny enough to make it worthwhile, other times I was lost. An eight episode first season left me not really caring if the show came back or not. To be honest.

7) Jeopardy (Syndication)

English Audio Description?: No

Yes, I watch Jeopardy. and my enjoyment level every night is going to be based on the contestants, and how I play at home. I did OK, but everyone missed final Jeopardy. And this girl beat Matea and I wanted her to be a one and done. And now she’s not.

Episode Grade: B-

8) Star Trek: Picard (paramount Plus)

English Audio Description Available?: Yes

Season 1 is amazing. Season 2 started off strong, and I don’t know what happened. I’m liking it less and less, and now I’m starting to realize why it only has one more season left after this. nice in theory, hard to execute.

9) Cheers (Paramount Plus)

English Audio Description: no

Watched a rerun. Mainly because I live with someone who enjoys Cheers.

10) Fear The Walking Dead (AMC)

English audio Description: No

I keep meaning to stop watching this. It lost my interest a long time ago, and honestly I don’t pay attention. I just let it play in the background while I do other things. I love TWD as a franchise, and as long as Morgan is on the show, I seem to not be able to quit it.

11) The Golden Girls (Hulu)

English Audio Description Available?: no

Same reason as Cheers, although this episode was a clip show in season 3. no. Season 3 is far too early in a shows run to have earned a clip show, I don’t care how iconic you are.
