Only four shows today. What isn’t making the list are the two films I also squeaked out.

4) Little Demon (FX/Hulu)

When i pretty much enjoyed all four series, the one that lacked audio description, when it has a lot of otherworldly things happening is going to be at the bottom. there ar always parts of this series I can’t follow, but I stay because several jokes land. It’s just become clear after five episodes of this, it likely is impossible to top the list, as there will always be some element, some part of the show I can’t follow, or didn’t quite understand. Danny Devito was a great choice for the voice work here, as are the rest of the cast, but this show needs audio description, and it’s frustrating that the studio and producers behind it don’t know that.

3) The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Disney Plus)

An episode that existed to show that our two adult leads still have too many problems to be romantically involved, and when they try and trade their kids, it backfires miserably.Jace may not have gotten his shot back, but he’s led his team to the finals, without an overbearing father. And while he’s lost the trust in his coach, who he had really started to believe was different, it looks like he’s ready to take the Ducks to the win. But, Evan got some harsh feedback about how he’ll never make the pro’s, and for the kid that started the Don’t Bothers, he’s someone not to be counted out. The big question is, where do they want the narrative to go? Evan proving once again that telling him to not bother is the wrong choice, or will Jace find his shot at the pivotal moment of the game?

2) Mythic Quest (Apple Plus)

After last week, where we said goodbye to an original cast member, this episode featured just run of the mill shenanigans. It felt like it was setting things up, and aside from a moment of realizations regarding Thomas Edison, Elizabeth Holmes, and Nikola Tesla, it felt like the mythic Quest version of treading water.

1) Home Economics (ABC/Hulu)

This was Harmony’s first Thanksgiving with her new family, which the siblings originally thought would be rough, but Harmony fit right in… if they weren’t so damn jealous of her. It will be interesting to see how much of Harmony we see in the future, since she technically doesn’t live near them. Though, if the showrunners feel like her character could shake up a sitcom that is perpetually on the bubble in a creative way, I think Casey Wilson could very well become a series regular in the near future. It depends on where this story goes next. But, it was a fun Thanksgiving episode, that really balanced the time between all the cast, even including all the kids for once.
