I’m personally sad that it seems like all my favorite shows are either ending this year, or in their final season. I’d like this list to stop growing. But, as the final season of Ted Lasso is rolling, and the final season of succession is about to start, I’m reminded that the trailer dropped for the final season of The Marvelous Ms Maisel, and we’re still looking toward the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger Things, The umbrella Academy, Cobra Kai, Outlander, and I’m sure some others I’ve chosen to forget.
7) The Equalizer (CBS/Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
you know, after last weeks episode, I thought this would be the perfect time for the person who needs The Equalizer’s help to actually be Robin. Use her team to figure out a way around this parenting thing. Her number one priority should have been that, but instead of trusting that the audience would have followed her on that journey, we had to have a case of the week anyway. I think the other storyline is strong enough to stand on its own, and would have really finally given Robin a mother/daughter centric episode that truly prioritizes her child. momma bear needed to wreck some shit of her own this week, and not be bothered by shenanigans.
Episode Grade: B-
6) That 90’s Show (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Kitty and Red are keeping this show alive. I’m gradually starting to figure out who the new kids are, like 7 episodes in, but there was a reason I never watched Saved By The Bell: The New Class, and it’s because the kids weren’t the same, and Screech wasn’t enough. Now, I’m in this place where I wonder if Red and kitty are enough, plus the occasional cameo. Right now, it’s on a fine line.

5) The arc (syfy/Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Tragedy Strikes again. And a guy risks his life to save everyone… well, he was going to die anyway. he just was given a purposeful death. But that cliffhanger twist at the end of this radiation centric episode was worth it. Protect the rich guy!
Episode Grade: B
4) The Daily Show With Al Franken (Comedy)
English Audio Description?: no
Well, Al is now way up the list of who I’d like to see. now I’m trying to figure out if he or Chelsea Handler would be my top choice. It’s really close. He had a strong episode. He has a very dry sense of humor. I’m still holding out that they give Lewis Black a week. Come on Comedy. You know you wanna. Nothing would make me happier than Lewis Black getting The Daily Show.
Episode Grade: A-
3) The Mandalorian (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description: Yes
They are obviously world and plot building, and while this episode was far more interesting than last week, it still has things place in here that make you wonder why its there, and what the payoff will be. I haven’t seen a truly fantastic episode yet this season, but at least this was really short.
Episode Grade: A-
2) Ted Lasso (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
nothing wrong with this episode. But in trying to figure out which of my two top rated series deserved the top spot, I just felt this was Ted lasso doing what it always does. The bit about Hallmark movies was amazing. Such a great bit.I still hope our broken couple find their way back before the series ends.
Episode Grade: A
1) 911 Lone Star (FOX/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: no
It was really hard for me. Technically, this is a bad episode for blind people. There are very few people in it, action sequences, and accident scenes that would need audio description. I mean, this episode screamed audio description. But after already being invested in this cast, and this story, this episode was directed well enough that I truly believed our featured *spoiler* wasn’t going to survive the episode. Sometimes, I can tell when it’s a fake out, but this show has killed off regulars before.
Episode Grade: A (but, please consider audio description)
