In the slow world of TV news, networks are starting to assume that they won’t have scripted programs for the Fall, and are once again leaning on reality series. NBC just ordered a new Wild Kingdom show for the fall. So instead of watching the OneChicago lineup, you get the same thing you’d get with any other nature documentary.
12) Trophy Wife (Hulu)

This one is tough, because I basically enjoyed everything I watched yesterday. Trophy Wife doesn’t have audio description, and some of the moments were a bit cringe. The kids were working on a dating video for one of the ex-wives, and I kept thinking… this show isn’t that old. Who does dating videos?

11) Rabbit hole (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes

I don’t need a second season. Honestly, the Rabbbit hole casting was a bit all over the place, and now having seen the finale, I know the whole series is about the most extreme sleight of hand possible. There was one major fucking twist in the finale that had me almost jump out of my chair. It might be the greatest twist of the year. I don’t know if it makes sense, but in the moment offered, it was amazing. Mostly, this show started strong, got weak, and somehow landed. I wish Kyle had been killed off, but if we don’t get a second season, I won’t be stuck with him.

10) Somebody Somewhere (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes

I think the better decision in this episode should have been to just focus on the two sisters driving their mom to a new facility. I felt like the deviations and attempt to have a B plot were the only things that weakened this episode.

9) 8 Simple Rules (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
A solid guest appearance from Patrick Warburton helped this Thanksgiving episode. As the show doesn’t have any AD, I’m not sure if we actually see Kate’s parents at the end of the episode. Hopefully not, for continuity sake.

Archie is getting older. Hilarity ensues.

7) Citadel (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes

Another show that hinges on a mic drop every episode, it would be nice to see them just develop the characters. but no, we have to believe one of the characters is about to escape until his accomplice is shot in the head (and doesn’t die right away). Then, that’s not even the only twist. Just like Rabbit hole, your entire show cannot just be twists.

6) The Night Agent (Netflix)

This is a spoiler, but I can’t not comment on how the “hazel eyed” assassin died without ever getting a name. She had a ton of screentime and dialogue, and her partner had a name. This drove me crazy.

Hal. Stop being such a fuck up. I liked that he knew better than to advise the British PM, but him taking a dip in the lake with a married woman in the middle of all this… and why was he peeing outside? What is his damage? The rest of the episode was fine, except that awkward exchange at the top where she thanked Hal for fucking her. The West Wing, this is not.

4) Mad Men (FreeVee)
English Audio Description?: Yes

I liked the scenes between John Slattery and Christina Hendricks, as well as the glimpse into what kind of character arc Elizabeth moss is on, but this just felt like a stable and solid episode that just helped to do some character building.

Fuck. now I remember why Richard and Monica broke up. Like, I would have chosen Richard, as I’ve already made clear, so I’ll probably spend a while resenting Monica. I also loved the fact that when Joey finally convinced one of the guys to kiss him to help him for his audition, it was too late. I’m sure LGBT critics would debate if this episode was homophobic having Chandler and Ross not wanting to kiss Joey, but at the same time, joey wanted to kiss one of them so he could be better at kissing guys for an upcoming audition. I wasn’t bothered. I’m not gonna kiss everyone either, and there are friends of mine I wouldn’t kiss.

It’s the same thing I said about mad Men. This episode basically touched on every major character to further their stories. However, this also has that badass moment where Dani reveals that she understood his language the whole time, and her dragon kills that nasty slave owner. Truly, one of my favorite moments in the series, and the moment where I think I really started rooting for Dani to win the whole thing.

1) better Call Saul (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
As far as the whole episode goes, i do need to know more about Howard and that woman. Are they married? Their exchange was so weird. but the rest of the episode was terrific, emotionally highlighted by a really simple gesture from mike, and blood pumping when you start rooting for some random German guy to use that axe to kill the least popular character still on the show.
