And in the continuing saga of the paramount Purge, Paramount’s decision to murder inside Amy Schumer in cold blood has caused Comedy Central to scrap plans to have a cable run of the 5th season of the show. Wouldn’t it be crazy if this got en Emmy nomination in spite of all this disrespect?
#8) Designing Women (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
The only guy of the group got himself into a little bit of trouble at the horse track. moral of this story, don’t go to the horse track.
Episode Grade: B-
7) FUBAR (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed
I’m not really sure why I’m grading this show this high. I mean, it’s pretty terrible. Am I this big of a fan of Arnie? I’ve already sadly pledged to watch this show no matter what basically, and Episode 2 did NOT get any better. The writers of this show can stay on strike. Bring everyone else back but the writers of FUBAR please.
Episode Grade: Realistically, it’s like a D, but I’m giving it a B-. I don’t know how much longer Arnie’s clout can keep this show above water.
6) Fired On Mars (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes

After the grasshopper invasion, everyone is on a little bit of an edge. I totally caught Thomas Haden Church swooping in here. I think the show would be funnier, if the show presented Jeff as being the smart and normal guy, because he’s kind of a screw up, but everyone around him seems to be a varying level of narcissistic to criminally insane. You kinda need that stationary character, and while Jeff is pretty normal, he’s actually pretty bad at most of his work.
Episode Grade: B+
5) Justified (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
After Raylon finds out his dad might be involved in this Boyd stuff, he tries to warn him, but he’s not receptive. Arlo might want to make some better life choices.
Episode Grade: B+
4) Doogie Kamaloha MD (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes

Man, girls everywhere must be pissed. Not only did this feel like a series finale, which is a fair assumption since Disney has yet to take one of their scripted comedies to a third season, but she’s got two guys she’s clearly in love with, and then the show decides to be girl power and she doesn’t choose either. She chooses herself. Part of me respects the whole “screw the fans” attitude this show has, knowing that they likely have fans who ship the two different couples, and her not choosing is a load of crap, but it also signaled to me that the producers of this show have zero faith in Disney Plus to renew them, so instead of leaving us with a cliffhanger on who to choose, she picks a third option we didn’t know she had. That way, there’s some closure, and fans of each couple don’t have to battle. I hated it, but it’s ballsy, and I think it’s a response to being on a streaming service known for being two-and-done (Big Shot, Mighty Ducks, Benedict Society, Diary Of A Future President)
Episode Grade: A-, Season 2 Grade: B+
3) Platonic (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: unknown
I’m hooked. Rogen and Byrne have such a natural chemistry, and Nicholas Stoller is doing a great job navigating the series. It was funny to watch Byrne spiral out slowly as her husbands boss couldn’t remember her name, despite having seen her many, many times, but recognized a waiter who waited on him once three years ago. Well, he’ll remember her now.
Episode Grade: A
2) Better Call Saul (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
So, I had a great Saul episode up against the finale of Mrs. Davis. Saul lost. The reason being that there is something to be said about the lack of tension in certain sequences with this being a prequel series. Certain characters can’t die, and since this episode relied heavily on the prospect that one of those characters might, the suspense was kind of taken away. It’s still a great episode, and I feel like Point and Shoot is probably the Emmy submission episode for more than one actor. But, the other show…
Episode Grade: A
1) Mrs Davis (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited
After all of that, everything comes to a close. Simone finds the mother of Mrs Davis, the original person who coded her, and finds out her original design was a failed pitch for a Buffalo Wild Wings campaign. My God. brilliant. So, the wings everyone gets, are just a side effect of her need to deliver wings. Meanwhile, Wiley faced certain death, Simone had a great conversation with Mother Superior and Jesus, and her and her mom got closure on her dad’s death. Oh, and JQ can finally play poker again. This was one of the weirdest and wildest rides from the past TV season, but I cannot recommend it more. For those who complain about the lack of originality in the world, this really does change that whole perspective around.
Episode Grade: A+
