I so rarely get TV news. Two stories in one day! First, Deadline has reported that the Emmy Awards are moving from September to an undetermined date in January. This means while other shows will likely be rewarding the current seasons of shows like The Bear and Only Murders in The Building, the Emmys are still rewarding the past earlier seasons. Also, HBo has renewed The Righteous Gemstones!

Don’s kids are super annoying, and I’m docking this episode some pay. Even Sally makes a comment about someone’s breasts that make no sense. Children in this time period would have never made that remark. And Don’s son, who never has anything to do, suddenly starts breaking everything and causing trouble. in one scene he breaks a bed, and five seconds later he cut his hand open and needs to go to the ER. These are kids we normally never hear from. one big thing is enough. They were too much.

BritBox is still now in my crosshairs. Time to get some audio description, BB. This Hoff show could be funny, but it does have sight gags that I miss because… THERE’S NO AUDIO DESCRIPTION. I’ll wait.

Yesterday, i listed a bunch of shows that would be nice to have audio description in order to represent across all the years of television. This did run long enough that Hulu should consider it. This had an adorable little child that bonded with Suzanne, and i so wanted this girl to be added to the cast. But those mean writers took her away. Meanies.

Mickey finds a creative way to help the daughter of a former client, while also trying to prove his main client is innocent. The first thing was so cool. That’s what makes this show and mickey feel special.

Now that Peter is truly gone, Elizabeth is determined to pull him out of the lake. Maxim realizes he didn’t actually kill Pukachev and is off to remedy that. Going forward, in Peter’s absence, the ensemble cast, which is strong, will need to step up. Fanning is still doing good work, but someone needs to fill that Peter sized hole, and Maxim is my new favorite character on this show.

The Gemstones are not happy that they are now having to give their cousins a place to live. But, after a contentious cousins night, they end in a better place. Meanwhile, Eli finds out something about his sister and lends a helping hand. That sounded really normal, so I’ll tell you that this also features a baby eating cigar butts. So, typical Gemstone stuff.
