Here’s the thing I don’t get. The Drew Barrymore show is being picketed, because Drew decided to go back to work, but Whoopi is on the View, and obviously a member of SAG since she’s still acting. So, why is Whoopi allowed to work on a talk show but Drew is not? Make it make sense.

Someone really needs the Suzanne special touch when it comes to some beauty tips, or styling tips, but Delta Burke isn’t so sure she wants to give away trade secrets.
Episode Grade: C+
7) Outlander (Starz)

I struggled with whether or not this qualified as unwatchable. Most of the episode was dialogue driven. This show has a tendency to have characters sit and ponder, but there was a pretty lengthy scene where Caitrona Balfe figured out who the real killer was. However, in some regards, the end of the episode was even a more impressive WTF moment. Like, that should have been a season finale. Whole house exploded from what I could tell, with major characters inside. So, what now? It was a scene meant to leave you with that “oh my God I don’t know what just happened!” Feel, and for me that was amplified since Starz has no audio description. I really did NOT know. For reals.

6) Virgin River (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Presumably Renewed
This is not a good show. It is some blend of comfort food and easy watching. Lots of men shirtless for no apparent reason. Preacher rescues his lady love, only to have her leave. “Before you I didn’t know what a good man was, but you showed me… I must leave now.” Baffling character choices. And who actually works at Jack’s bar, which seems to be the only place in town everyone eats or drinks at. One doctor. One bar. My favorite line was when Doc’s grandson tells Lizzie that he’s dying, and her response is literally “I don’t care.” It’s meant to be a romantic gesture. but shouldn’t she care a little bit?
Episode Grade: I actually find it hard to grade this, so it’s more about the ranking. This is where I felt the episode landed against the other things I watched.

Guest star Patrick Warburton! Paul is feeling underappreciated at home and work. The guys have some click of only sports writers, which I guess he is not anymore, and Warburton’s Nick has a daughter that is trying to challenge Kaley Cuoco for the Queen Bee position.

That was a very random kill. But, more importantly, the three teens now working together are idiots. They attack Chucky, or what they think is Chucky, and don’t notice that he never speaks in his Chucky voice, but assume they have vanquished him. Come on now. This show is fun and campy, but I do need the characters I’m supposed to root for to be just a little smarter.

2) The Witcher (Netflix)

Still catching up on Season 2. This episode had the least amount of Garolt of any episode so far. Siri learns her blood has value, but also wants to become a Witcher herself. Yennifer tries to rescue her troubadour but may need rescuing herself.

1) The Lost Flowers Of Alice Heart (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes

OK. If you are thinking about watching this, I’d encourage you to at least get through the second episode, which is WAY better and WAY more informative about what the show will likely start shaping itself into. The pilot introduced the characters and the catalytic tragedy, but the 2nd episode introduces the function of the show, while still leaving mysteries to explore. I’m excited now.
