I do believe as I’m writing this, that the Maine mass shooter is still at large. A tremendous tragedy we seem unable and unwilling to stop, or even attempt to reduce the possibility of recurrence. Yesterday, Paramount Plus did cancel two shows, Rabbit Hole and Fatal Attraction, neither surprised me.
9) SeaQuest DSV (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
I tend to normally give this show a grade. Conceptually, I understand it from watching it as a kid. But this episode, which involved rescuing people from a crashed spaceship that had a virus on it that was killing people, left me wondering what was seen on the other ship. I know that for the early 90’s, the visual elements of SeaQuest wouldn’t be amazing anyway, and often the scenes are internal, as this is an underwater Star Trek, without all the various alien races. But, I did feel for this episode, audio description was more necessary than usual.
Episode Grade: Unwatchable
8) The Masked Singer (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Renewed?
I wasn’t even on the radar of who this weeks eliminated contestant was. I know they thought his clues were really specific, but he sounded older, and the teen slasher references made me think it was going to be someone from the post-Scream renaissance of slashers. The need for audio description lies in hunting the clues, and knowing what the costumes look like. Some people are just here for the singing, which is valid. Depending on how you like to watch this, as either a detective, or passive enjoyer of music, The Masked Singer probably requires audio description.
Episode Grade: unwatchable
7) Fright Crew (Hulu)

In episode 3, after surviving near death, the gang must keep their friend from eating a baby. It’s an animated show but I’m still not sure what the target demo is. pre-Teens?
Episode Grade: C+
6) Shelter (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
As they continue to go further down the rabbit hole, questions abound from a tattoo, to a feud between the ballers, why Rachel has a gun, and all the other nonsensical things that are happening on this show. If you are missing the weirdest seasons of Riverdale, this show is for you.
Episode Grade: C+
5) Wrestlers (Netflix)

I wish I could be more engaged in this, I’m just not a fan of wrestling. I did enjoy the moments when one of the guys was talking about how he likes wrestling for this new group more than the time he spent in the WWE.

This week, a guy I’ve never heard of, competes against that guy who was on Magic Mike and CSI: Miami, and Oscar Winner Mira Sorvino. between Sorvino being on Dancing With The Stars this season and Celebrity jeopardy, can someone PLEASE give her a streaming show at least? She has an Oscar. why is she popping up all over like Charles Nelson Reilly used to? She literally has a moment in this episode where she was talking about not wanting to spend money to subscribe to the paid jeopardy even while prepping. is she poor now? Why isn’t she acting?
Episode Grade: B
2) Killing It (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes

I’m still not enjoying Season 2 as much as 1, but Prada is effectively hilarious, and the shark wrestling thing was insane.
Episode Grade: B+
1) Harley Quinn (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed?
The season finale pits Ivy against lex, with a little help from her friends. Harley is still battling being good or evil, and the jokes are still great. I’m sure A24 fans got upset at the shade being thrown their way,but I loved that Clayface was upset that his emotional support Capybara was denied. I hope Harley and Co. return for many more seasons, as this show is still creatively thriving.
