I wish I could toss out this list and fill it with all of the amazing performances of Matthew Perry that I managed to watch yesterday. Perry was such a tremendous talent, who landed too many one-and-done shows that truly deserved a second season. The best example has to be Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip, where Perry had the option to work with Aaron Sorkin as a series regular. If you have the option to watch that, please do. Also, his short-lived, but equally worthwhile Go on is available on the Roku channel.

And now for a bunch of things without Perry that I did watch.

7) All In The Family (FreeVee)

Someone mentioned to me recently that they saw All In The Family being presented somewhere with a trigger warning explaining to people that this show was from a different time. It’s not that this show was from a different time, Archie is clearly being made fun of most of the time for his racist behavior.I don’t think FreeVee runs this, but without audio description, it’s impossible to tell.

A mixed bag of events. But, Cowan got promoted to District Attorney, despite not wanting it, and there’s a court case about an influencer and her wellness brand making people sick.

5) Dreaming Whilst Black (Paramount Plus)

I was having anxiety for these characters. I think that they need better friends. Seeing our male lead trying to figure out how to pay for a dinner he can’t afford, because his girlfriend’s friends are snobs, and on the other side, listening to people wanting to tell a story about slavery “from both sides”, I just kept wanting these leads to run from their lives and jobs.

4) Tiny Toons Looniversity (MAX)

Not only did this episode give a lot more screentime to Dizzy, and also feature Buster (and Bugs) in drag, but it also brought back Montana Max, who I had assumed was written off and dropped from the show, since his name is no longer in the opening theme song.

The third episode featured the Cuckoo Clock Of Doom, which explained why we had an exploding teen in the last episode. I’m digging this series, and I like how James’s story plays out.

Luke, the boy who had a hard time pooping in public, is now a dad. This show really has come full circle. He’s terrified, but he steps up by the end of the episode.I’m gonna miss the hell out of this show. I still say this is the best show you aren’t watching.
