It took way too long, but Peacock has finally given Twisted Metal a second season. Based on everything I heard about the ratings, this should have happened a long time ago. Amazon renewed Gen V during the strike. it is possible.
1) Everything Now (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
There is a moment in the fourth episode, where everything comes to a head, and one of Mia’s friends has an outburst that is just so barbed at her, but Mia’s reaction is to just make sure her friend is OK, and calm her down in the moment, and I loved that. I still am not sure why this show is trying to run as long as it does each episode, like it is the new Sex Education, but I always feel the runtime.
Episode Grade: B+
2) Lessons In Chemistry (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes

Following up the second episode, which had that WOW ending, was going to be tough. I did really enjoy how they did it though, by giving 6:30 a backstory, and an inner voice. Hearing where he came from, and everything up until that moment, was so surprisingly refreshing, and such an interesting way to tackle grief. throughout the episode, the dog kept us up to date on what was happening from his perspective, and he was pretty astute for a dog. Also, Brie larson’s performance is fantastic. She should be doing more of this and less Marvel things where the fans clearly don’t appreciate her.
Episode Grade: A
3) Found (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed
I’m pretty sure this was the season finale, as she was able to wrap up Tony’s story, while also setting up a mystery for Season 2. With the amount of returning shows NBC has to cram into the fall, I don’t see how they could accommodate more Found this time around.

4) Black Cake (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes

As we learn more about our children in the present, as they learn more about their mother’s complicated journey in the past, I’m seeing more and more of what this show is and wants to be. By the second episode, it really does take off, with the emotional groundwork laid. The brother isn’t wanting to hear anymore, but the sister is desperate to know more. Of course, she was gone for 8 years, and that guilt is fueling it. As far as the story goes, it was a winding journey, one that starts off with a promise, and shows you the consequence of that promise. This show is growing on me a lot.
Episode Grade: B+
5) Shining Veil (Starz)
English Audio Description: No
Status: Not Yet Renewed
This episode, perhaps even a little more than usual, seemed to be relying on the quiet gothic and scary moments, which don’t have audio description. I know that the daughter found out the priest was really there to investigate her, which crushed her soul, since she might be the most normal of the bunch. But she still has her own problems. She just doesn’t want to see them. But, no audio description, so…
Episode Grade: Unwatchable
6) Name That Tune (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No

There was a moment when the contestants had to guess A Moment Like This, and I was sitting there thinking about Randy Jackson just collecting a paycheck for sitting with the band and giving useless feedback, and realizing he owes his life to that song.
Episode Grade: B
7) Celebrity Jeopardy (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes

Three surprisingly all smart celebrities, but I predicted immediately who would win, and they did. No surprise.
Episode Grade: A-
8) Veep (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Ended
A fun episode about Selina trying to announce her candidacy for President, which gets wrapped up in a Lott of nonsense. My favorite part was when Amy was tasked with helping a young girl find the bathroom, and she didn’t know what to say to the girl, so she just said “Peeing is fun.” Hah.
