Building The band- Kudos to trying to fit in descriptors for these singers even after we hear their name. Sometimes their initial intro isn’t enough time to know anything about him, so like one girl we found out was a red head, but it was a little while after she had already sung and spoke. I want to encourage this, because a lot of these people have had no description at all. So, we’re left to a problematic world of “sounds like” when trying to create a face to support the voice. And I don’t just mean racially either. Some singers have no descriptors at all. hair, size, glasses, jewelry, any distinguishing things to put in our heads. they are a clean slate, and you assign what you want to assign.

All Of Us Are dead- Since I’ve been hard on We Were Liars, I should say this Ai voice is a bit optimistic for the bleakness of the show. It isn’t really a comedy, and I don’t know if we know how to make these AI voices understand themes of what they’re saying. By the end of the second episode, most of the cast is, in fact, dead. And we watch them die. well written, but we could do a different AI voice here.

Dexter Resurrection- So, My history with Dexter is watching the first 4 seasons, and loving it. Then I bailed, because I had a feeling it couldn’t survive the Season 4 finale. I’ve had friends and acquaintances over the years give me varying opinions on the rest of the show, and a lot of hot gossip, then Dexter: new Blood came around. I watched that. It was fine. Then Showtime started ordering more spinoffs of their properties (I’m still waiting for a Billions spinoff that we were promised), and then dexter: Original Sin drops. it also is mostly fine, though the lead actor has a hard, nay, impossible task of topping Michael c. Hall. They solve that now by changing the way Dexter: new blood ends, and dexter actually was saved, and Harrison didn’t kill him. So, dexter wakes up in the hospital, and an excellent cameo (at least the voice of) starts the show, then Dexter is finally himself again. Angel comes back to greet his old friend, tie up some loose ends, and give Dexter his name back (that seemed too easy, by the way). So, Dexter is not the Butcher, not on the run, has his own name, but the problem is that now Harrison has a dark passenger too and is living by the code. That’s the show. I’m hoping Angel sticks around, as I love David Zayas. It was fine. it is a lot of magic wand waving to make the series make sense, so we don’t really get a sense of what this could be, because it is really just trying to gaslight us for an hour. I’m here for it though.

And just Like that- We’re so very close to Aiden being written off.I can feel it. the girls can feel it. The whole episode is Carrie trying to hide what she knows about Charlotte from Miranda, and letting Miranda believe Charlotte is sad because her dog has ‘dog cancer”, which leads Miranda to throw a big birthday party for charlotte full of balloons and karaoke. but, the show does push Carrie closer to her neighbor, and also Seema closer to Adam. plus, Anthony, the unofficial member of the girls, has to deal with his boyfriend’s mother coming to visit… and she really hates him. She clearly does not approve.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars- Snatch Game, so you know who is going to win. I hope they win the whole thing. I’m one episode behind, so next week is the top 8, then the finale. So they go into the finale with the Top 7, and some wildcards. I have a feeling the finale is ten Queens doing challenges in rapid succession to whittle it down. Like, five lip sync battles would drop it in half, and then being judged from there on something else.

Sullivan’s Crossing- I know this show has fans, and I’m trying. I’m not a huge fan of the mix of the audio description. it feels a little low.

King Of The hill- hank takes on a surly teen who plays loud music.

Pop culture Jeopardy- The longest running thing. I’m still not in the semi finals. I’m still in the knockout rounds.

the Office- I picked Carell and Wilson because this episode had a lot of great Michael and Dwight moments, as Michael rides off to his first convention where Jan is there with documents that allow for them to be in a relationship. I would have given it best episode, but I didn’t want to do it for a rerun without audio description.
