tires- A moderately funny episode, for the series. Shane really is trying to get back some of that “comedians can get away with anything” thing. It certainly isn’t ever high brow, but it can have a certain charm. Ditching Thomas Haden church would be a mistake though. He should be upped to series regular right now.

Sausage Party: Foodtopia- Deeply inadequate audio description track. Come on Roundabout. You can do better than this. There are so many things clearly missed and not referenced, and I know they are trying to work around the dialogue, but it also seems like they’re just using a writer who isn’t interested in trying to find the best way to make the most out of this track. i can’t imagine a better writer couldn’t have gotten more out of this. Fixed is a raunchy animated comedy that dropped at the same time as this, and it has way better description. the second season plot is kind of weak, but the jokes are occasionally clever. You’ll definitely love the “my ears are burning” joke.

The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball- I’m loving this weird show. It has jokes only adults are supposed to get, like how the father is trying to remember, and his senses are tied to food, so there’s a scene where he keeps pulling a hotdog in and out of his mouth. They chose a hot dog for a reason, and even one of the kids reacts to it like they are scarred for life, but they also don’t explain the joke in case your kids are too young.

Outlander: Blood Of My Blood- without audio description, it is hard to track this plot and ensemble, but I was 42 when I learned whaat it means to “bring down the flowers”. So, there’s that.

And Just Like That- Clearly not intended as the finale, what a letdown. If we’re sending Carrie off, she needs a proper actual finale. Technically, we got that… and then we made a sequel series. Now, our characters have no ending. HBo MAX needs to step up, and give this some kind of a finite ending for the brand. Carrie Bradshaw basically just dances it off at thanksgiving, with some weird girl named EPCOT who is designed to make everyone hate Gen Z. And the rest of the cast? It does not wrap up their storylines either. What a waste. Aiden killed the show. Thanks, John Corbett.

Irish Blood- This show is a little different, and a little hard to follow, but I like it more than Art Detectives… as does my Mom. She made sure to tell me later that she’s really liking “the Irish show”, and I did not watch Outlander with her. It’s a shame Acorn doesn’t do audio description.

Breaking Bad- Walt thinks he’s near death, so he forces Jesse into the middle of nowhere for one big cook-off. They make a ton of meth, and as a surprise to no one who knows there are more seasons, Walt finds out he’s not weeks away from death, though their experience in the desert almost killed them. This is an older series, but best audio description of the day.
