From- Not looking for spoilers, but this episode had Victor needing to go do something scary, so he asked Tabitha to help, and she heard scary and brought Ethan along. People keep telling Sophia far more than anyone should, while the group is searching for The Man In The Yellow Suit, no one has even asked about the possibility of it being the newest one. I’m concerned for Henry. Boyd’s Parkinson’s is showing more, and that makes Kenny step up. Fatima has a unique and useful connection. And someone Kool Aid Man’s their way into Colony House. Oh Yeah! This has nice AD, but Amazon/MGM has never retained the same team for any season of From, so it’s likely a futile effort. The previous three seasons were all done well too.
Vladimir- The Professor needs aa cold shower, and her lusting causes her to mess some stuff up, and it might cost her big. Her daughter is a firecracker though. I loved her scenes. Jabari Grey does a nice job of narrating this very horny show.
Criminal Record- It looks like their asset may have been discovered, because Kieran noticed something suspicious, and then identified June, which connected him to Billy. However, Billy is able to defend himself pretty well, since the group is populated by a lot of wannabes, and he’s the only one with a… criminal record. Then, he’s offered another chance to step up and takes it, which leads to an explosive mic drop cliffhanger. Very nice audio description.
Bel Air- The Finale. Everyone is going their separate ways, literally. The Banks family is moving from the mansion to seek a new future, as all the kids head on their own paths, and Will pursues his college education out in Cali. The best thing about the finale is the actual will Smith cameo, which is noted well in the AD as being the real Will Smith. He swings by to give the new version of himself some advice.A nice finale for a show I liked that was better than it had any right to be.
Will Trent- Will is looking for his Uncle, but is too tied up in his own mental health crisis where he keeps talking to a dead person to be able to notice the villain for the episode is right in front of his face. Nice audio description. Weird episode. I hope Will gets checked out for the brain tumor I’m sure he’s developed.
SNL- Some really lovely audio description. I like how they describe home plate, and Jack White’s description was really good. Jack Black joined the five timers club, so a bunch of ladies swung by to greet him. They make a joke about Jack Black being the first Black in the five timers club, which feels impossible… until I looked at the list of five-timers, and realized Dwayne Johnson is the only ethnically ambiguous member of the five timers club. Johnson should count, but it would probably just be better to have a less ambiguous talent in the five timers club. Season 52 just needs to call up Chris Rock, who has hosted 4 times. This is a super easy rectifiable error that can actually be fixed. Fucking Ben Affleck has hosted five times, but Eddie Murphy, Kevin HArt, Tracy Morgan, and Chris Rock all fall short? Really?
The Madison- Will Arnett swings by for a guest spot playing Stacey’s new therapist as the family heads back to New York. Taylor Sheridan wouldn’t be caught dead making a show about city folk in the city, so they are most definitely moving back to the middle of nowhere which will likely make it hard for Arnett to recur. The AD was very pensive.
Pop Culture Jeopardy- Shout it from the rooftops. It’s like that old Calvin and Hobbes car sticker where Calvin is taking a leak, which people thought was just so cool to slap on their cars, but in this, its like Pop Culture Jeopardy is raining down all over the other iterations that have shit description like Celebrity Jeopardy. If the waiter comes to your table and offers you a choice of desserts and one is a nice piece of chocolate cake, and the other is a plate of melted lard, technically they are both edible, but only one is truly appetizing.
